We're keen on keeping Zegras, and that offer doesn't get him if we weren't.

Where the hell do people keep coming out of the woodwork with tinfoil hats claiming we're not interested in keeping him after we JUST extended him?

And how in the hell does trading out a 22 year old top 6 forward for picks and a prospect "help the rebuild"?!?!? Give your ball a tug.

Carlson is the last thing the Devils need. They have Hamilton to play the number 1 PP role, and Hughes/Nemec where needed. Lindgren could (based on history) not win a single game the rest of the season and everyone would be like " well yea he's a 30 year old who's never played a full season in the NHL".

Devils aren't trading a core player on a cheap contract for that only asset the caps have that could maybe get the devils to listen on Bratt is maybe a package based around Leonard and a pick but even then they probably wouldn't do it
