Guentzel scores more than him but is paid more, so just comparing production it’s a wash when cap hits are considered. Considering overall game, Kane is worth more than Guentzal. Kane will fight anyone in this League, hits like a truck, draws penalties, stands up for teammates, on top of clutch production in playoffs.
Then consider that Kane is signed for 2 more years and Guentzal is a rental. Edmonton wouldn’t spend any money extending Guentzal nor would Guentzal even sign in Edmonton.
