Kahkonen is 2 years removed from even putting numbers up that were over .900. With no retention, the Kings will agree to that amount but you have to retain half.

If Columbus wanted Pederson, or if there was a roster spot, we would have just...kept him. That offer gets outbid for Peeke in all likelihood. A 3rd rounder alone would probably be fine, but a 4th and 5th just isn't high enough quality to really consider it.

If that's what the Pens have to give up including whichever goes to team XYZ, then yes.
