I mean it's not nothing. If WPG isn't gonna make the playoffs, this would provide them two solid team controlled (ie. can't just leave WPG) players with upside given the right opportunity. Would be great to have in a retool.

No, they are pretty much nothing. Timmins is an 8/9 D, waivers level type player and Robertson is AHL depth. If the Jets are retaining on DeMelo, they can get far better than that.

The Jets give the opportunity to Chisholm or Heinola over Timmins. Timmins needs to clear waivers, which he won't. Which means the trade is basically "Brossoit and DeMelo (retained) for Robertson." Not exactly enticing for a team that's trying to be competitive.
