I know Carolina has been talked about in trades for every high end top 6 scorer under the sun. And don't get me wrong it would be really exciting to see us get someone like Nylander, Konecny, Lindholm, etc. But, I don't think it's absolutely a neccessity.

I think where the real problem lies is depth scoring. We've always had the shutdown lines, specifically the 3rd line of Martinook, Staal and Fast. But we haven't had that depth line with some finishing ability to come up big when our big guys are cold. And I think we're set up perfectly to make it happen this year. In my opinion, the top 4 wingers on this team are Svech, Necas, Jarvis and Bunting. They'll be in the top 6 in some form. This leaves Teravainen to the 3rd line, and unless they move him, I think we should set him up with a solid 3C and a winger who can score to maybe get him back on track.

I think they should make some more under the radar, somewhat cheaper moves for 2nd/3rd line players to make one of the deeper forward cores in the league, while already having the best d core in the league. Most of these guys wouldn't cost more than some futures, except Bennett. I've seen some Skjei for Bennett trades on here that are interesting, and i'd be willing to part with Skjei+ for him, as i think out of all these players, he would be the best fit.
