Standing predictions

Highly unlikely Washington and Pittsburgh finish above the Rangers. No way Boston falls that hard either. I also think Arizona has a better chance at being a wild card team than finishing last in that division

I think Pittsburgh could easily finish above New York (they're overrated imo) but I agree about the Caps

They're not overrated at all. As long as a team has a goalie as good as Shesterkin and a decent supporting cast like NY has then they're going to be a playoff team. They'd be overrated if they were consistently being projected to finish above NJ or Carolina. The only reason to project the Rangers outside the playoffs is if you think Shesterkin is going to inexplicably fall off tremendously of get injured. Neither is a reliable reason to influence a prediction.

Rangers are better. Boston too low. They still have very good D and goaltending. You have the Sharks right.

Caps were pretty good last year before Carlsson got hurt. And I like their offseason additions. Think they'll contend for a wild card.
