LA declines, we'd have to move nearly 5-6M to just get this under cap, and still wouldn't have a starting goaltender.

Moving Roy, after signing Gavrikov seems like a mis-step. Also, if the jets can't reup him, that trade seems pointless.

I think unless Helle (50% retained) is coming back with PLD, and PLD is signing-friendly there is nothing here LA can realistically work with.

I could see the Jets taking Roy if he wasn't a rental, but he wouldn't re-sign in Winnipeg, so the Jets probably have no interest. They'd also need to talk to Vallardi beforehand to make sure he's willing to stay.

.... and then you still have to figure out LA's cap.
