I don't see the Jackets trading Marchenko to move up in the draft. Swap Chinakhov for Marchecnko and maybe if there is a player the Jackets really like at that time.

I wouldn't. Difference in prospect from 20-25 ish to pick number 8 is not that massive, the cream of the crop will go in this draft class is the Top-6, the rest after that are quite close.

Far too much. Marchenko is already showing 30+ goal kind of talent and that's what you'd be hoping to get from 8th OA, but 3 years from now. The Jackets already invested 4 years in waiting for Marchenko so they're not about to pay to get back into that situation again.

I strongly disagree with you. Top 10 in this draft will be noticeably better than 20-25. Talking like a guy like Moore Benson or Leonard Dvorsky vs Simashev Brindley or Honzek. Now there is always a surprise or someone who over achieves but top 10 picks in this draft are STUDS imo

That’s possible but Chinamhov is worse so I’d want a 2nd instead of a 3rd
