The two biggest priorities this season should be:

1.) Finding a new starting goaltender.
2.) Shaking up the blue line.

The new GM needs to create a little tension, this is way too comfortable of a locker room. Granlund and Rutta get bought out. Tell Carter he won't see a minute of ice time. Sit him in the press box, if he gets pissed and wants to play then tell him to waive his NMC and his ice time can come elsewhere.

Sullivan should have a short leash. If results are not met by the holiday break, he can see the door. I am guessing at least one of Reirden/Vellucci is let go but it could very well be both. Special Teams under performed and new voices are needed. Shake up PP1 to have Rakell, Zucker and Smith. Utilize Guentzel, Rust and Letang on PP2.

Trades:
Boston - The Bruins will need some help with the cap after this season. In this scenario, they see Swayman as their future in net which opens up the opportunity to move Ullmark. They will probably want to move out a defenseman as well and the Penguins ask for a much needed PK specialist in Forbort. The 2023 first round pick should absolutely be used to in a trade for a goalie if they decide to move on from Jarry.
Chicago - Petry was OK this season but I would not be against trading him to get younger on the blue line. It will be hard to find a suitor for him due to his cap hit (Buffalo will say no, as will Detroit). Send him to Chicago where he is still close to his home state of Michigan and ask for Murphy.
Seattle - It's redundant to have both Joseph and Smith. He had a good first full season, but I would use Joseph to trade for a third line player. With Soucy possibly on the way out and getting a good raise, Joseph would be a good solution for the Kraken to fill that spot. Tolvanen improves and makes the bottom-six younger.
