Risto is bad, but he isn't THAT bad.

I don't think I do it, just costs too much. Banking so much on one prospect that won't be on the team for like 4 years. He falls a bit further then maybe that first first plus a second and something else I would look at.

Wallinder should be a legit top 4 defenseman in the next couple years. It's possible you could get a player as good as Michkov with one of your 2 1st's, or both combined could equal what Michkov would contribute. There are very few can't miss prospects in any draft, and Michkov isn't one of those. Even if he's as good as everyone thinks he is, there's no guarantee he comes over to North America. Then you add in a terrible cap dump in Ristolainen? Hooooorrible trade for Detroit.

Magic beans trade for sure. Michkov looks special, no doubt, but so did Lafreniere...
