leafs got murray with retention AND a high in the round 3rd, hes proven to be a 4.6 cap dump no one wants, because he is as advertisesd NEVER healthy enough to warrant half that amount.

Youve got him and an expiring UFA cap dump in Kerfoot which probably cost you the 1st and Robertson (who's value is VERY low) and probably more to dump those 2. So its Sandin, who is still averaging just 16 minutes a game even with lots of leafs dmen out injured and a 3rd and niemala, which might not be enough for chyrchrun, let alone anything else.

Stop using negative assets as a perceived benefit.

Thank you. My feelings exactly. Some how Kerfoot is this tip player a d every team is dying to take on, but he is a UFA a d teams at the bottom do not want older °pending UFA. Murray can not stay healthy but Leaf fans peddle him every where on this site like he is the next Patrick Roy.

Let's assume for the moment that Sandin is a quality asset.

The future first, Sandin, the late third and Niemela certainly aren't enough for Chychrun, but let's say that they are.

Now you've got a bunch of chaff for a starting goalie. That's plainly insufficient and that's before we even talk about the virtual uselessness to Arizona of a UFA like Kerfoot or the almost negative value of Murray or the unfortunate injury history of Robertson. @Hammerwise and @mikearky are 100% correct.

Kerfoot(pending UFA) and Murray (older, injury prone goalie) would have minimal value to a rebuilding Arizona team - Kerfoot's on the first flight out of Sky Harbor on July 1st, and Murray's real dollars are significantly higher in the last year of his deal than his actual AAV (a scenario that Arizona typically tries to avoid when getting their cap dumps.) So you've got Sandin, Niemela, Robertson, the 1st and the 3rd for Chychrun & Vejmelka - it's not just there. As said above by @OldNYIfan, even if you assume Sandin/1st/3rd is enough value for Chychrun (this would be significantly less than the reported ask so far), it would mean you're only offering Robertson (damaged goods) & Topi Niemela for Vejmelka, a starting-caliber goalie with strong numbers on a bad team.

The value just doesn't line up for Arizona - and that's even before you get to Kerfoot & Murray's NTCs keeping this from coming anywhere near reality.
