With protection on the 1st, I think DET would accept (as much as I would not want to move Ras, and would prefer to move Fabbri or Vrana to give better cap maneuverability).

If your going by prospect position teams dont do that much anymore they go by performance.

As in Toronto's case your sending a top young LD who can play top 4, a 1st, and Knies whose a low A level prospect now. Vs. Other teams its young wing, first and 2nd (besides NJ)

Not going into if these teams would want to trade these guys, or if they are even a fit/looking to add at wing (for instance, I think the NYR are not doing an add like this), but this seems somewhat right. I don't know if Detroit and Buffalo higher picks exactly offset the lesser players they are giving up. I think the Toronto and New Jersey returns are better. I think the Rangers trade is by far the weakest.

Buffalo wouldn't need retention so we probably won't pay for it.
The main issue tho is buffalo isnt looking for deadline rentals. They'd only be interested if they were signing him and with skinner @ 9mil i dont see how we can afford meier and still retain guys like power, dahlin, and "insert name of any of 7 1st rnd picks here" that need big deals in the next few years. So just take them right of the list.
