Description

Timo had a slow start which is why I think people were undervaluing him on here, but he has 9 pts in his last 5 and has been the best player behind Erik "Rocket Richard" Karlsson.

I think Casey has the better ceiling and would be better in the long run but getting Mukhamadullin would be huge for the Cuda this year, who need more D depth. Holtz would also tear it up in the AHL on that team with Eklund.

Not too worried about a pick gong back since we'll get that back and then some with other deadline moves.

*Likely need a cap dump to make it work so NJ can add whoever is on an expiring deal to make it work

I think overall this is a trade where SJ fans may feel they could get a bit more, and NJ fans may feel they're giving up a bit too much, which is the sweet spot for any trade imo

I really like this trade for both sides. Only issue I see NJ having is getting Meier locked up without having to extend a $10M QO, but if they agree to a long term deal I think it makes sense all around

He's owed $10m, if he wants it, he gets it. Unless the team just doesn't qualify him. In which case, this is an absurd price to pay for a rental.

Don’t think you’ll get SJS to retain on both Reimer/Meier AND send a pick back the other way, but I’m sure they would take a caphit like Tartar or Johnsson off NJD’s hand in exchange for this package.

Any Meier trade depends on his extension.

But there is no way Devils move four A-prospects for him. A Holtz plus a pick package is plausible if he extends with team-friendly extension. But this ask, without extension, doesn’t really warrant a response.
