Description

I was wrong about Cassidy being let go. He is a great coach but you cannot argue with the results from Montgomery's system.
I was wrong about signing Ullmark. He has been outstanding this year and was good last year.
I was wrong about the Lindholm trade. I thought they gave up too much. However, this guy looks elite. He and Chuckie should be incredible together for years to come.
I was wrong about buying out Foligno over the Summer. Terrific start to the season for him.

This lineup shows that the Bruins do not have to move anyone to be compliant this season. I would still like them to make a move, so that Krejci's and Bergeron's performance bonus cap hit won't hurt so much next season. But at this point I trust Sweeney to make the best decisions.

To me the biggest part is when you look at each of the individual cap hits. It really shows that these guys are walking the walk when it comes to saying they want to win a cup. Not just lip service, but $2.5M for Bergy...come on! $1M for Krejci. $6M for Hall who's a Hart winner and just recently hit 30 years old..Jeeze. Marchand's deal is a bit older, but still...$6.125M for what he provides is incredible.

Bruins are one of few teams in the past ten years that are always playoff contenders, even Cup contenders. Only way to do that is with great cap management.

You missed Pastrnak. It's a little different because he signed his deal when he was still an RFA but look at his production for the 6 years since he signed his 6.67M per year deal.
