My Lines for Game 2 Plus Game 1 Thoughts

Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Thoughts on game one:

-Sanderson was Ottawa's top skater. Tried to do too much with the puck a couple of times, but he looked great defensively. Hamonic looked pretty good as well. Guennette was the only other Dman I have good things to say about.

-Stützle-Debrincat-Giroux all shows touches of their great talent individually, but chemistry is still a work in progress. They weren't on the same page, and definitely looked like guys who played on three different teams last year. Still have high hopes.

-Brassard wasn't amazing or anything, but he looked solid. Thought he looked better than Gambrell. Would be more confident with him on the PK than Gambrell. Still rather Kastelic over either.

- team had no defensive structure at all. If they couldn't stop the entry it was utter chaos, they just collapse in like a house of cards. The same story we've seen to start throughout the DJ Smith era. I still don't think he's the guy. Sens have a fairly weak defensive personnel, and I don't think DJ brings the defensive structure to over come it tbh. They need another good Dman.

-Talbot let in all three goals, but he got no help on any of them. Thought he looked great. Mando also impressed me.
