A non-Habs fan attempts to set the lineup for the Habs

Slaf should start the season with the Habs they'll probably put him with Suzuki and Caufield to start off the season and see how it goes; Drouin is still a maybe for the start of the season; Byron is still out for some time, don't think he'll be back before a long time also so should be on the IR at the minimum; Monahan isn't going to be on the 4th, theyll give him the chance to show up and provide help.

It's fine but Drouin, Byron, Monahan are likely to start the year on IR and whenever they're all back I highly doubt that Monahan's on the fourth line as Montreal need to showcase him for a trade.

It’s actually not terrible, and the defence is actually what I’ve expected it to be. Caufield is really a RW.

Here’s how I think it will shake out (before a trade is made):

Dadonov-Suzuki-Caufield
Drouin-Dach-Anderson
Hoffman-Dvorak-Gallagher
Pitlick-Monahan-Evans

Something has to give on the roster and I doubt that they want to keep Monahan on the 4th line.

He is but they've put him on the left side most of the year, don't think Dadonov would completent those two that greatly.

I agree for the most part but could also see them run Monahan or Dvorak as 3 LW and Armia as 4 RW, scratching Pitlick until a trade happens. So bottom 6 will be IMO
