Description

Instead of getting the “package of futures” for Miller, VAN targets one good young player from a contender and takes back a bad contract to make the cap work.

Severson-for-Garland would make sense positionally for both teams, but only if VAN can agree to an extension before the trade.

No you don’t. If you’re getting him without an extension New Jersey has to add. 1 year of Severson is not equal to 4 years of Garland
