If the jackets trade Nyquist they aren’t taking a player back. I think he nets the jackets a late round pick or the jackets need to attach a late round pick to him. Definitely not giving up a second with him

Might want to do some research before saying no so quickly. Beaudin is 22, a former 1st round pick and is better defensively then the current 3rd pair LHD and is much cheaper. Adding him means we can move on from Bean and still have a a solid project player who could be a top 4 LHD in the future.

This. It's not very sensible if we can't find a taker for Bean afterwards, but that synergy is there.

Maybe I’m missing something then. He will be 23 at the start of the season and has been stuck in the AHL. Is he an elite shutdown guy in the AHL? He looks like he has minimal if any offensive upside. From everything I’ve gathered he’s heading in the wrong direction as a prospect
