Description
I have a feeling Columbus fans won't like the trade 😂

D pairing can switched around:
Wouldn't mind seeing Muzzin/Gio or Reilly/GIo. And maybe try Sandin/Lilj. Brodie can play with anyone

Kampf's line is supposed to be the defensive shutdown line, so idk how good Bemstrom is defensively. But honestly I think it doesn't matter if he's good or bad defensively because he can bring a scoring touch to that line or anywhere in the bottome 6.

Could also see Bemstrom playing on the 2nd line with Willy and JT.

Korpisalo shut the leafs down in the 2020 qualifying round and I can see him as a guy the leafs target as a backup

Campbell can be resigned and I hope he is. With Korpisalo, Campbell can play less games than he normally would. Although if Campbell wants more than 5mil he shouldn't be resigned

Stenlund is a depth piece

Gagner could be a good fit anywhere in the lineup

After a few comments I say take out the second in the Columbus trade. Pretend it's not there. I'm just to lazy to redo the trade.

50 point scorer, solid prospect, 2nd, 4th, and 7th for a waiver player, a fringe young guy, and the worst goalie in the league. Love it

I doubt Jacket's fans dislike this trade, like you say, but I can tell it's probably in the Jackets favor. I do see these players being available from the Jackets this offseason, but it probably is in packages to take on D-prospects and 2nd to 5th round picks to alleviate the bubble of bottom 6 players to make room for other young guys to come in. As a Jackets fan, I think Stenlund is a criminally underrated power forward center, Bemstrom is the unluckiest guy on the roster (I think he hit the most posts this season for CBJ + his injury history is rough), and I hope Korpisalo will turn it around after his surgeries this year.

The Leafs could probably get away with not sending the 2nd. Kerfoot really adds to the "too many middle 6 forwards" problem that Columbus has. I think a line of Kerfoot, Voracek, and Laine could be really fun to watch next year. Is Kerfoot more of a salary dump player at this point for the Leafs?

IDK. I kind of like the meat of the trade but the smaller assets could use more fine tuning. What would really make this trade make more sense to me is if a third team came in and took on Kerfoot, and a couple of those picks, and the Jackets walk away with a RHD after unloading their forward bubble. Maybe the Jackets retain 50% of the Kerfoot contract and send the 12 and this is just part of a three way blockbuster that gets Chychrun out of Arizona and Toronot can keep Der-Arguchintsev. I think Columbus would owe Toronto more, but I think it would come in the form of salary retainage or picks, but I really don't know what Toronto needs.

We may win this trade and that's cause it's very one-sided
Bemstrom is interesting, he was a pp specialist on euro ice that Torts tried to turn into a checking forward. Terribly mismanaged.
I don't think Stenlund is that underrated if he couldn't even make the lineup as a scratch/injury replacement this year, when he does play he doesn't move around much, most of his points come on the powerplay when he has more room than 5on5. I don't think Korpi will return to allstar status, and could see him possibly just going back to europe if no one else in the league wants him.

I agree with you on the skaters, and I wish both of them well in change-of-scenery trades. But Jarmo isn't going to trade Korpi this summer. He didn't just sign him to that show me contract to trade him. Nor do I think Dubas would trade for him.

I read that Jackets trade as follows:
    * Bemstrom is tremendously underrated as a defensive contributor.
    * It's Kerfoot.

    Therefore no.
