Kassian was a good player for while but cant produce without mcdavid and takes dumb penalties all the time Ken holland is old school so he is gonna keep one of the grinders either kassian or foegle

This isnt a trade but the idea of edmonton trading jesse puji is very very very dumb sign a bridge deal to him because his ceiling is a nichuskin type player a 50-60 point scorer that is defensively solid, who is an anylitcal darling and can use his body to create chances and is they can teach him to deflect shots and screen the goalie on the pp would be deadly, also if you teach him how to penalty kill his wingspan would be amazing for passing lanes sry for the jesse rant

      Détails additionnels:
i dont know how much value these two have but i think this is good as this is more than what giroux was traded for but for edmonton you get a big young d man who is a solid dman that you can pair with bouchard and you get a great third liner in scott laughton who you can slot anywhere throughout the lineup if need be, philly gets most likely a late first round pick with a solid foward prospect in bourgault and a decent goalie prospect in rodrigue, the only issue is for this trade to happen philly would be wanting to go through a rebuild and i think they are more interested in going through a retool phase philly fans lemme know what you think of this and what phase ur team should go through

      Détails additionnels:
edmonton recoups some picks for barrie as they dont need him anymore since they got him for one reason and a rookie is already better than him at it, Dallas gets a puck moving power play quarterbacking d mna as a replacement for klingberg since they still want to compete with their roster im confident they make this deal since they are in dire need of more offense since they averaged under 2 goals a game against calgary and a whopping 2 power play goals in 7 games

Before people get rheir panties in a twist nino signing only a two year deal with anyone but edmonton would be stupid but there is already rumors around the league just how evander kane did signing with connor mcdavid and the oilers to boost the shit out of their stock and with nino being 29 years old signing a two year would take him to 31 years old and then after boosting his stock a bunch with the oilers he would be able to sign a much bigger contract then what he wouldve gotten two years prior

i mean it's kinda realistic. The first thing Edmonton should do is hunt for a goalie; via trade or signing, by any means. Holloway isn't top 6 ready and I'd only do that Philly deal if I was confident that Sanheim would resign

might as well not sign nino, because 29yos don't sign bridge deals and you can't just magically hide keith on ltir when he isn't injured. plus you'll need to find a way to up the roster size to at least 22 (bare minimum is 21 with slightly under league min of space, so you have 2 spares for road trips). and holloway isn't top 6 ready. not terrible overall, but i feel like not addressing goaltending, while likely to not happen, would basically mean it's a bad off-season

i like the Sanheim idea, sell future for defense that could still last for coming years. even if he leaves, still have a loaded offense with the parts you depart

If only they had a guy like Sanheim, maybe a german defenseman or something frown

Sanhiems value is probably something like an early first, good prospect, and maybe a low roster player who is young coming back… Rodrigue probably doesn’t move the needle at all in Philly… so I’d say swap him for another big piece and you might be close to value. Knowing the oilers will probably dominate again next year and make that pick a very late first makes me wonder if there’s a bidding war, will that come into play?

No thats a pretty fair offer for him as a rental, if anything I think Philly retains half or takes cap back
