I think that the key for Dubas this offseason is to find good producers for relatively cheap prices. Moving Kampf to the fourth line gives the third line the ability to be better offensively, while the fourth line can be the main shutdown/checking line. Also, I think that we should have a sort of "new-look" bottom 6, because there was very limited depth scoring in the playoffs this year. Seeing Mikheyev go will suck, but it looks like he isn't coming back, especially with all of the reports.
Paul would be an iffy get, pretty much due to the fact that he took us out in game 7. But I think if he were given the right opportunities, he could play an important role. Jarnkrok would also give this 3rd line a bit more of a jump, and we all know what Kase can do when he's healthy.
Bjugstad is essentially a big guy who can play in a defensive role if needed, plus he can be bought for cheap. As I said before, this 4th line is a checking/shutdown line, so I think he will fit in quite nicely.
The defence is meh tbh. Sandin is the big question mark for me, I would really like to see him take a big step defensively this year. I don't know who will be taking PP2 out of him and Gio, so I guess we'll see. Sandin played well with Boosh last year, so it would be decent as a third pair. If things start to get out of hand, they can always be jumbled around to find the best fits.
Campbell is reportedly asking for around $5M, so if he isn't willing to lower, let him go. I think $4M is the max they should go with him, and then they should get a young, cheap backup. Ingram shows promise, and he might not have a spot in Nashville soon. Other options can be Georgiev, Korpisalo, Wedgewood, or Comrie.
Muzzin is only traded if he waives for LA, which there have been reports of him maybe being willing to do so. All of the other guys are being traded as cap dumps or to change the team.
There have been NO reports that Muzzin has been willing to waive his NMC for a return to Los Angeles, just as there have been no reports that the Kings are interested in having him back. What reports there HAVE been are that Los Angeles is looking for a young #1 LD like Jakob Chychrun, Mikhail Sergachev, Ivan Provorov or maybe even Travis Sanheim.
