Take out the 11th overall sharks pick and sharks still don’t do it. You think Meier is worth Foote, Zacha and 9 spots in the draft? That’s horrid.

Meier to NJ just isn't a fit if it's done pre-draft or without an extension agreed upon. If the Sharks trade Meier (and I think they should), it should be to a contender who can properly utilize his low AAV before likely walking as a UFA next summer.

but legit this a horrible deal for the sharks. the difference this year between the 2nd and the 11th pick inst that much. Wright is the clear cut #1 and 2-13 picks are all fairly close. and very few players from this draft have Meier;s potential. If NJ really wants Meier it would cost 22 2nd, 23 1st and plus Zacha and Foote, and even then I don't know if sharks say yes.
and if NJD feel that's unreasonable then the deal probably shouldnt be made honestly.
Besides NJ has a ton of forward prospect's and young guys already in the NHL, what you really need is goaltending and top 4 D.
