Wingers on the Devils who have produced more than Anderson last season: Jesper Bratt, Yegor Sharangovich, Dawson Mercer*, Pavel Zacha, Andreas Johnsson.
Anderson would be bottom 6 for the Devils, making 5.5M for a long time.

Devils current LD: Siegenthaler, Graves, Smith
Devils future LD: Hughes, Bahl, Mukhmudullin
No room or need for Edmundson

Allen, not a bad add but him+late first+2nd is no where close for 5th overall

If Devils trade the 5th pick, its going to be an "impact player". So one of Suzuki or Caufield would have to be coming back which won't happen

Fair points. A few things. Anderson would be at 4.5M or 3.5M with the retention from Montreal so it wouldn’t be at 5.5M
Personally I have Edmundson over all those D , although I can obviously see Hughes passing him. That being said Edmundson only has 2 years left on his deal

Edmundson isn't playing above Graves/Sieg in the lineup. Fitz is also big on analytics, and Edmundson's are infamous.

With all due respect @ Lochness1202

No amount of money will convince Marc Andre Fleury to move his family, specifically his kids again especially to Canada. Especially being he blocked all Canadians teams at deadline. It will be Minnesota, Pittsburgh or Chicago before any Canada team will have any chance, even if its small for Canada teams

That’s quite a bit for the 5th overall. Josh Anderson value is seriously undervalued here. Every GM in the league would pay dearly for him.
The 2nd rounder is 33rd overall then the pick in the 20’s from Calgary AND a good, cheap backup goalie in Allen AND Joel Edmundson, who’s in the running to be captain of this team in 2022. That’s a package that would be hard to move for the 1st overall forget the 5th
