My prediction is they trade him, but I don't wanna piss anyone off by pretending I know what he's going to get, because it'll probably be less than he's worth, and I don't think any of the assets will be on the roster next season, so I didn't include it.

I respectfully disagree with you about being a 1 line team. Mitchell Chaffee is ready and deserves a chance. So does Beckman. Then you have the 3rd and 4th line who can score. If you look at this wingers crop in free agency, it's loaded, and If wild want to give Beckman or Chaffee more time, they can pursue a signing of winger for 1 to 2 years

I can see where Chaffee is ready for the NHL, but it's not a guarantee, and even then, he is NOT a top six player. And given how Guerin seems to want to build this team, neither him nor Beckman are bottom six players either.

And Beckman is definitely not ready for top six minutes in the NHL.

Detroit is not trading for a goalie.
