Want a better grasp on trade values

Don’t crucify me here. I don’t know a whole lot about either of these guys, so I may be way off. My thinking is both these guys have potential to be top 4 defence men. Kent Hughes said he’d rather prospects over picks, so what better place to look than at guys Gorton drafted. Ben Chiarot is going to get a first round pick at the deadline, there’s no disputing that. Between Fox, Trouba, Schneider, and Lundqvist, the rangers are projected to have four right defencemen that can play top 4 or higher, so I feel it’d make sense for them to trade one of the younger guys (fox isn’t going anywhere and neither is trouba with that contract) for some immediate help on the left side, and who better than a big, mean, defensively responsible top four guy in Chiarot who can come cheap and eat big minutes in the playoffs. Montreal will have to add, and I’m thinking either their second rounder (gonna be in the mid 30’s) or a couple mid round picks should do the trick, but I could be way off on that. What do you guys think Montreal needs to add to get one of Schneider of Lundkvist? As a Habs fan this trade makes a ton of sense, but does it from the rangers perspective?
