2 issues: Monahan would need to waive his M-NTC, and whatever team gets Eichel needs to have 10million in cap space before he gets put on LTIR. At 22 roster spots you have only 8.2million in space... unless you find a way to run an 18 man roster or something, it's not gonna work out cap wise

And forget about next year when you have Gaudreau, Tkachuk, Mangiapane, and Zadorov to sign... even if they plan on losing one of those, it's still not going to work

2 counter points:
1. The proposal says Monahan goes to a different team
2. Part of Eichel's salary this year has already been paid, his acquiring cap is around 9.3M now

That has nothing to do with his AAV haha... especially so given I'm referring to next year...

Whether Monahan is flipped or not, he still needs to waive for BUF, and there's no guarantee he can be flipped to somewhere he'd want to go anyway

The cap is not an issue next year, and even if it is tight Lucic's contract is very movable next offseason.

Monahan also doesnt need to waive to Buffalo in a 3-way trade.
