Description

Might have to trade White at some point for cap room, should have enough for Norris/Stutzle/Brannstrom/JBD/Pinto bridges as they come off their ELCs and the cap goes up a bit. If we want to lock in Stutzle long term, that’s the scenario when White likely needs to get dealt, or if Pinto really breaks out. Sanderson comes off his ELC and Batherson’s bridge expires when Murray/Zaitsev end.

Going to have to offer far more to give benning a headache that he didn’t already create. I would say petterson is looking likely to be 9.5m on a 6 year deal. 750k and a year less won’t kill the Nucks.

One thing to remember is the Pettersson and Hughes have the same agent, and that agent is very aware that if Pettersson signs for above market value, it takes away possible dollars for Hughes. This offer sheet is easily matched by Van, but then only leaves around 6 million left for Hughes. It would be pretty irresponsible of the agent to go this route. Unless the offer sheet is $11 million+ on a short to medium term deal, it is not a threat. All this offer sheet does is take money off the table for Hughes
