KHL goalies usually require a year with an AHL affiliate to see how they adjust to north american hockey, samsonov, shesterkin, georgiev, bobrosky, and vasilesky all had to do it. As for Holl getting traded why. Sure u can put dermott on the right side but he is not that good there and Muzzin-Holl have been producting good defensive numbers.

The leafs should look into a KHL goalie but place him with the marlies for a year.

3. Vladislav Podyapolsky (2.42 GAA, 0. 919sv)
4. Andrei Tikhomirov (2.7GAA, 0.918sv)
5. Ilya Konovalov (2.45GAA, 0.913sv) <-- youngest at 21

As for Dermott or Holl would rather have Holl on the right. Dermott was ok but hes better as a LD. Holl's stats with Muzzin make him an instant keeper. Dermott can be used as a trade piece in looking for defensive partner for rielly

Sorry three horrid trades. Engvall, Tanev and Campbell costs about the same Tanev. And this silly fascination about finding a partner for Reilly. If Reilly is such a premier Dman, he should be able to play with anyone. Point he Reilly is not a premier Dman.
Robertson, Thornton and a Russian rookie goalie on the team. Gag on that thought.

while i agree with robertson and a khl goalie being bad additions on this team (except if the KHL goalie goes to the marlies). Thorton at league min would be fine. He can play with clifford and spezza on the 4th line and that line would barely get any ice time so who cares. As for Rielly. U want a more defensive partner for him. He is an incredible defenseman but pair him with the wrong partner and he ends up having to do more work such was the case with ceci. As soon as rielly was paired with barrie his numbers got better. Only reason rielly has not been playing good this season is due to a nagging injury he suffered before the season started. But since he has had time off since the florida injury he has looked so much better and cant wait to see him in the playoffs. As for a good partner, A guy like gudas or savard would work perfectly as both are good in their own zones and can let rielly move around more freely.
