We need to score more. At least Timmins brings that element. We can't keep getting 1-2 goals a game and expect to win. But I understand!

Should we tell Domi that crosschecking someone pretty hard, from behind, is absolutely a penalty?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>Heck would have went 11-7 then keep Reaves in</div></div>
We need more offense. If this continues and we lose I would do:
Dewar in - Reaves Out
I would put Lily and Timmins in and take Edmonson and Benoit out for next game.
We can't keep getting 2 goals or less a game.

Yea Reaves has to get the scratch after that one. Dewar should have stayed in, instead of Reaves.

Our defence clearly needs an upgrade. Standing pat in that regard wouldn't be wise.

The players Im for sure keeping
Seems right to me. We will see if Norris gets moved this offseason. That will be interesting.
This team has the pieces to contend. Just need so fine tuning in my mind. ALOT more depth also. And a less weird, random scandals, taking out some decent young players. haha

DRAFT EISERMAN PLUS TRADE UP FOR IGINLA
Flyers hit accept on that trade so fast. Why does Montreal do it though? They already have a ton of LD prospects. Why trade for another low end LD prospect to help Philly with that much cap?

The next step
There are very few Nick Robertson trades that I like or would accept. I really hope the Leafs keep him.
In saying that, this is one of the rare circumstances that I would accept.

Next year with Big Changes
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>I can’t see ottawa trading any of their top 3 picks when the 20-50 range is loaded with good Dmen especially RD</div></div>
Picks drafted this year in that range will be ready in 3-5 years. I think we all believe that Ottawa can potentially contend as of next year. But fair enough if they don't want Lily and/or Kampf.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aadoyle</b></div><div>JT aint waiving and you know as well as I do its gonna cost assets to move him
No thanks</div></div>
It is very unlikely that JT waives. But if he does, a team like Chicago would take him for FC or a late pick, quite easily. It matches what they are building in Chicago very perfectly.

I view him as a solid number 5, who can slot into the top 4 if needed. I view his value as an early 2nd.

Either way I dont actually think the Sens would be interested</div></div>
That works also. Ottawa 2nd is early and a 3rd the following year. Both options work. The Boston 1st vs the Ottawa 2nd aren't a huge difference. Usually teams pay a 3rd ish to move that many spots.
Fair on them not wanting to do it though. I know their RD need is more of a defensive dman type.

Realistic Off Season Adjustments
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HollywoodHudon</b></div><div>Rather NOT have a 3 goalie system and would rather use the $4.1m spent on Lilly and Reimer spent on resigning Bertuzzi instead!</div></div>
Fair on not wanting a 3 goalie system. I don't love it either.
Fair on wanting Bert back. I want him back also.
BUT Bert will cost more than 4.1m (at least I think he will) and our d group looks quite poor without Lily. To get Bert into this, we would need to ship off one or both of Kampf or Jarnkrok.

Updated Summer
Bit too much for Robertson. Not enough for Lily - But those 2 even out in the end - so the overall cap between the 2 is fine.
Not enough for Armadio. He has been putting up solid numbers for a few years now. I can see him getting 1.5-2.25m a year. If we got him at 825k, that would be a steal, I just don't see it.
I worry about our goaltending here. I really like Reimer and Woll but I would still worry. Storlarz is the guy that I want. Woll + Stolarz (2m x 2 years) + Reimer maybe?
Roy would be a perfect add though and I agree with your contract. 6m x 5 years would be my perfect scenario but I doubt that happens. Demelo could work also, but he would be cheaper. Worst case, a guy like Tanev. Maybe Demelo and Tanev, instead of Lyubuskin + Roy for similar money.
Either way this team has a lot of solid options and SHOULD look pretty good next year. Good job :)

Big Swings
Letang + Karlsson + Timmins as a RD trio is wild. They need a defensive dman as their 3rd. Not another offensive guy like Timmins.
I personally pass from the Leafs side of things. I like Acciari but our Forward group looks to be full for next year already.

Selke Candidate, Perennial 90-100PT player. He is a super star. He is not generational but he is a super star. I agree paying him this hurts a team. But teams will do it.

I strongly doubt this. I think many teams would sign this contract.
Leafs are probably going to extend him to something stupid like 12.5 or 13m x 8 years though. I am going to cry if they do.

If you want Robertson you would need to offer Winnipegs 1st OR Wifi. Otherwise, the Leafs happily keep him.
