Good Offseason
I would rather keep Domi and/or Bert than get Tarasenko. I like Tank but I prefer Domi and Bert.
Use 3.5-4m of that money to sign Domi and then keep Timmins and Kampf. I think the cap works and you would have a 22 man roster.

Leafs more than likely decline that. Add Kovacevic to the package and we have a deal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GeneralLandro</b></div><div>Why exactly?</div></div>
Robertson is a super skilled, super competitive player. Guy gives everything he has every shift.
He has almost 0.5 points per game, while only playing 11 minutes a game and he is 22 years old.
Washington can't score. A guy like Robertson would be a great pick up for them.
As a Leaf fan I really hope we keep Robertson. I still miss Sandin.... Thankfully Cowan is looking like a stud.

I haven't seen Jarnkrok play C for years. So I doubt they put him there. Time will tell though!
A lot of good options though.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>You think you came up short on contracts and still have a 21 roster.
I've said before in many posts, that it is Bertuzzi that likely can't be resigned. Leafs need Domi as he can play centre. Minten another fantasy to think he will NHL ready in October.
Does anyone really think M NTC Kampf would have a non playoff team with cap on his trade list.?
It's apparent why so many Leaf fans are so "hated" on this site. It's like a four year whiny child. " I want, I want." Roster size, cap, and roster construction should be a consideration.</div></div>
In my description I commented that Minten can be swapped for a vet. It's not 100% unrealistic considering he made the team out of camp this year. The delusion is on your end if you don't think that's possible again. I still think the highest likelihood is that he starts in the Marlies but making the Leafs is possible.
21 man rosters are very common.
I agree that Domi over Bert and I do think the most likely scenario is that Bert is not resigned. My AGM's aren't always what I think will happen. I play around with a lot of ideas to see if they work.
In the Kampf trade I said "Any team". I didn't say it would be Anaheim. He only has a 10 team NTC. So he can still be moved to 21 teams. I like Kampf and odds are he stays also.
Once again you failed to answer my question of "what do you recommend each one of their contracts be?" List out each one of the guys and how much you think they make. Guessing UFA and RFA contracts is not a strength of mine. And I definitely went on the low side of things in this AGM, which I am aware of.

So what do recommend each one of their contracts ends up being? I never see you create any AGMS. Give it your best shot. I would love to see it.
I agree I may have come up short in terms of a few of the contracts here.
As for Talbot, he is 36 and will be 37 to start next year. That played into the contract as well.

I think we need a true top pair RD. So Roy is clearly the best option for us. Demelo is more of a #4. I wouldn't hate it but I really hope we go for Roy. Pesce will be a decent option also.
**Although I just looked at Demelo's year and he is averaging #2 minutes on Winnipeg and having a great year. So maybe I am undervaluing him hard.**

Fair. Bert is the one guy I gave a pay decrease to. I like him a lot but his numbers don't justify 5.5m a year. I gave Domi a raise though.
Time will tell on Dewar. You may be right!
I agree that I was going a bit wishful thinking on a lot of these contracts.
Roy probably gets 7 years also. Just based on being the top RD. I think ALOT of teams will go after Roy. Term may be the deciding factor.

The Lineup They Need To Get Back To When Healthy
Pod only has 2 pts in 15 games. I haven't watched the games, but I don't see how he makes the top line here. Unless his defensive game is insane, I don't see the value in having him in the line up.

Washington won't move Dowd unless they get something like a 2nd back.
Leafs decline both trades. TVR is easily worth the price you set here but I don't believe he is the right target for the Leafs.
Robertson has more value than a 3rd. I personally don't want to Leafs to trade Robertson. I like him Alot.

It probably takes a 1st + Liljegren + a lesser piece for the Canucks to consider moving Hronek to Toronto</div></div>
Kampf plays 13-14 minutes a game. He plays more than a 4C. So he is not just a regular 4C. He averages about the same ice time as Domi.
1st + Lily + Kampf would be my offer.

Hronek is a good player, but not that good</div></div>
To be fair - I make a lot of AGMS and do similar to what you suggested often. Just wanted to play around with a Roy + Hronek option. This is the best dgroup we may have ever had. Our d group needed more physicality and scoring all year. They added physicality at the deadline but not scoring. This keeps the defensiveness and physicality and size but adds more scoring. Hronek would be a great add to help boost the offense from our D, which we could benefit from.

I personally view Kampf as having slight positive value. 3rd to 5th round pick. Neutral at worst. I don't see him as being a cap dump. Very serviceable bottom 6, defensive C. But fair enough if you think this offer is not enough.

Don't love the idea of trading Minten. I am super high on him. But the Leafs would have to accept this. Hnorek would be a perfect add. That 5th going to Van probably needs to be a 1st though.
If this is all it takes then sure. But I don't see Van doing this (even though Minten is a gem).

Holmberg can play C just fine. And while people want it Reaves in game 1 makes no sense logistically as other than fighting defensively he dont bring much and we have seen that 4th line cough up an opponent goal</div></div>
So are you suggesting the same line up as the OP has here, Except keep Holmberg as #3C, remove reaves and put Jarnkrok #4RW?
That works also. But I think they keep Reaves in. #truculence #snot haha

they should sign 2 top 9 C's. Lindholm + Monahan would be interesting.
So then you have Lindholm + Monahan + Strome. No legit top pair C but 3 serviceable #2's. McMichael and Lappierre can go to the wings if needed and can play C if there are injuries.

Jarnkrok has played virtually zero centre for the Leafs. So I doubt they put him there. But who knows.
I think they end up with:
Bert-Matthews-Marner
McMann//Knies-Tavares-Nylander
Knies//McMann-Domi-Jarnkrok
Dewar-Kampf-Reaves
Robertson + Holmberg + Gregor as spares.
