Lindholm already has multiple teams that are going to give him 7-8m with 4-7 years. getting paid only works if nobody wants to pay u at first. domi and bert worked because nobody would give them 4.5+ with term. pesce will easily get 6M from a good team looking to add a top 4RD</div></div>
Tavares is to slow to be a 2C, also no team other then the bottom 10 is giving lindholm 8mil plus term after the season he just had

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>I don't think one year of Marner is worth one year of Theodore. Vegas can use that 5.7m cap difference to resign Stephenson or whoever.
If I was the Leafs, I would jump at a Theodore/Marner one for one trade. 5.75m cap difference. can get either another competenet RHD or a good UFA winger.
And really what is Marner's $$$ value. You know what the 4th BEST right winger in the league makes. 9.5m. Marner makes 11m and wants more.</div></div>
Marner is the 4th best rw LOL… imagine thinking a top 4 rw isn’t worth a defensemen like Theodore +.After that your opinion doesn’t matter to me. There’s 3 rws better then Marner offensively and it’s Kuch Pasta and Rant.
Vegas makes the most sense for a Marner trade. The only offensive player they have is Eichel and Marner can complement him extremely well it makes total sense to do a trade like this especially for Vegas. If the trade is 1 for 1 Vegas accepts instantly.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>colby</b></div><div>even with an exension marner wouldnt be worth all that to vegas. a very strong goalie, elite D and very cheap good 3rd lineC. domi is a bit cheap here even on a team friendly deal hes getting 4+ at least. pesce is worth a bit more too. roy would be interesting for the leafs but no world u get both. lindholm also just doesnt make sense. bert would be a much better player to keep if there getting roy and have cowan and a cheap tJT who will probably take a 3-4M deal to stay a leaf.</div></div>
Pesce wants 6x6 no shot he gets it from a good team, since he turned down 5x5 at beginning of season I think 5.85 is close to his want that makes sense. Domi wants term if he wants to stay a leaf I don’t see them going over 4+ with term.
Also Lindholm makes perfect sense a solid 2nd line C who gets 7.5 mil on a prove it contract so he can get paid after playing in Toronto. Like everyone else does. This also moves Tavares to the wing

It's still a poor trade for trade for Vegas
Liljegren walks as a UFA if that's the Leafs best offer.</div></div>
Ok so Vegas are in same boat both Thompson and Theodore are up next year no shot they can afford both. Roy is a cap casualty to make it fair.
Also Liljegren isn’t a ufa

This is equivalent to the 1st round pick they’ll get when they trade him at the deadline next year. Liljegren takes his spot and is younger which Seattle needs and adds a potential top 6 guy in Robertson with 30 goal potential. Think this is more than fair
I think they take it and run tbh

Montour and Guentzel aren't taking anything less than 7 years. Montour signs that in Florida and Guentzel in Carolina. Toronto would have to pay both substantially more just due to the high tax base.</div></div>
You must just sit in on leafs ACGMs :tearsofjoy
You call Marner soft but he’d be the best player on Detroit if he was on there right now.
The other things I’m not even gonna bother replying to

I like the Vegas trade, makes sense give Eichel a top winger to play with. I think you’d have to add another b level prospect instead of Jones in the Nashville deal.

Another Marner Deal
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>nativewulf</b></div><div>I've got time today, so I'll play your game.
Let's just cross off the Atlantic division, because none of the Leafs rivals are going to pay an in-division trade price for Marner
Doubt he waives for Columbus
Doubt he waives for the Flyers
Doubt he waives for the Isles
Rangers don't need more wingers
Devils don't need another high end forward
Doubt he waives for the Penguins
Doubt he waives for the Capitals
Maybe the Hurricanes but they have to pay Necas and Jarvis and Marner is the exact opposite of what they need because they need guys who perform in the playoffs</div></div>
Every team will do their due diligence and try to make a Marner trade work you don’t get these type of players available. Stop with the narrative teams won’t make this work when every team that has a chance at attaining Marner will make it work. There will be loads of teams gunning for Marner if he is available. East or west.

Just keep Marner for a year, then have cap space. PLD for six years.....potential horror for any team.
Webber isn't NHL. ready in October. ALL NHL teams need at least seven NHL capable Dmen.
Nothing in for Seattle.</div></div>
I do think it’s an overpay for Saros but at the same time how many teams are gonna be in on him if he’s available? Seems like it’s gonna be the best package available to get him if he does get traded.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KrakenTheCode</b></div><div>The Kraken would decline that offer quite quickly. Seattle's not inclined to move Larsson, who's one half of their top pairing in a surprisingly effective defensive group, and no piece in that offer is going to significantly pique their interest. Kämpf doesn't have much if any trade value and Seattle will have cheaper options to fill their 4C, Voit doesn't move the needle when Seattle has a plethora of superior forward prospects already, and a late third is what it is. In short, offering a trio of low-to-medium value assets for Larsson isn't going to cut it.</div></div>
Should Neimela be there instead of Voit?
