I don’t think Treliving will take any, he’s happy to have a playoff performer like Gally.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LuckyMoneyPuck</b></div><div>he won't ever be on Sid's wing. 3rd or 2nd line.
That depends if they can move him or not. The team has not given up on him as far as putting him out on the ice.</div></div>
Honestly I didn’t like what I saw from him on the third line, his lack of defensive presence killed the bottom 6.
I feel like he’s the perfect type of winger for Sid, he has to earn it obviously.
But at the start of the season, I’d probably have rolled Guentzel-Crosby-Smith and Rakell-Malkin-Rust.

Guhle is untouchable for the Habs as far as I’m concerned.
But Matheson + Gallagher for Marner is a fair trade.

Lets push DOC who's starting to break out down to the 4th line for Beauvillier.
And lets sign DeBrusk to 4.75 mil so we can complain about him just like we do with Smith because he's the exact same player.</div></div>
Wait why do you think the third pairing is trash? You don’t like St Ivany?

As far as Smith I don't know, if you believe that you believe that. Could have been nagging injury for all I know..Bbut here is the thing. He's in a contract year next year. He's got ever reason to go hard all year.</div></div>
If Smith goes hard this year and plays well, that's great. He has a lot of Sheary in his game, but he will need to earn that spot on Sid's wing after being in the doghouse all year.

Fair, I will ship Smith somewhere else.

Perhaps Boston wanted to wait after the playoffs to see what his value is at. 19 goals in 80 games doesn't exactly scream 5 million salary.

Smith's issue is not his ability, it is his work ethic. The guy quit after November.
DOC is a great player to have in the bottom 6 but is pushing it in a top 6 role. He has good forechecking ability, but his ability on the puck is nowhere near top 6 level yet.
DOC-Eller-Puljujarvi would be awfully similar to Kuhnhackl-Cullen-Fehr in 2016.

They should trade K’Andre Miller for Letang’s playoff experience too.</div></div>
Tbh I think Miller has played badly at points this season and NYR could look to upgrade from him, but Letang is a RHD so they need someone to play on the left alongside Trouba.

They need playoff experience, and they need a long term RW for Panarin & Trocheck honestly with whom I think Rust will be perfect. He has the forechecking of Dryden Hunt but can score consistently too.

Still the best destination for Marner
To play for Torts? And I think that is too much, try Johansen and Ristolainen for Marner.

Fair enough, I don’t think there will be a bidding war for him tbh. Guentzel is arguably a more desirable player than him yet he only fetched a 2nd and a bunch of B tier prospects.
Plus I think Treliving will be desperate, he will trade him for Seth Jones or Rasmus Ristolainen.

I think Strome would like to play with Marner, it seems like a little bit much to offer.

He would love Rakell tbh, he is very much a Domi/Bertuzzi type player.
TOR needs a goalie and for a long time.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>imawesome</b></div><div>Marner is getting massively undervalued here. Even if he's in the last year of his contract he's still a 95 pt player. That's worth WAY more than a meh goalie and a meh winger, both of which could easily be a cap dump as soon as next year</div></div>
Fair enough, but I just think knowing Treliving's track record, he'll be desperate to get a goalie.
And he definitely like Rakell, even if he's 32, but he fits the profile of players he's been acquiring at forward (Domi, Bertuzzi) who are great in transition, great at forechecking and can score goals.
