Would love the story of brother Suzuki playing together but I feel Mysak could be a good depth scoring source on third line.

2nd Overall 4 Chychrun
#2 for Chychrun in a 1-for-1 isn't going to happen. Add in the Yotes #27 pick and you're closer.

He is a good asset but only to some team who can use him. On rebuilding team Petry have nothing to do but on competitive team there something to do with him. Like Pittsburgh / Dallas kind of team .

If you really want Dubois
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Element23VM</b></div><div>The 2023 first is conditional: If the pick is a top 3 choice, Montreal sends their other 1st rounder in 2023 to WPG instead.</div></div>
While Mysak could be a piece move to gain asset, Guhle and first round next year is almost intouchables in my opinion.
Also next year MTL pick would probably be more in top 5 and top 10 so that a good prospect as 2023 draft is better and deeper then this year.

limitedly gives this team quality leadership and not suck next 3 years
This is probably the best offer I've seen from a Habs fan for the 2OA. The retention is massive, saving them $5 mil that can go towards another player. But with that being said, I still don't think NJ accepts.

3 Team Madness
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kado777</b></div><div>My thought process is the number 2 pick would likely be Cooley and he would presumably not be ready for at least 1 year, maybe 2. This move would be to be able to compete immediately while also having the future in mind.
In regards to Dumba, I agree that he is probably not going to be moved, I think he should because it is going to get very tough to keep him around unless he signs for 5m or less, especially if Boldy improves next season and demands a larger contract than 6m or so, which I could see being likely.
So, despite this not being the most realistic, it was an idea to get a Fiala and Dumba replacement who will likely come with a cap hit quite a few million lower than Fiala and Dumba following them being resigned in 2023.
If Cooley was 100% NHL ready this year I would much prefer that route, but in the interest of not wasting more years of Kaprizov than we need to, I would not mind reuniting Caufield with Boldy.</div></div>
There no chance at all that MTL trade Suzuki, Caufield and Romanov they are the pillar of rebuild core. Trading Caufield is a huge step back on asset point and also would pretty sure loose Suzuki loyalty to the team.
MTL probably don't have asset to aquired top 10 pick but can probably do something to gain rank between 20 to end of second round. While it's not the best draft or the deepest there some interesting player on second round too or late first round.
A Petry and/or Hoffman could be use with some of your late pick to advance and gain some good pick.

Considering how much GMs apparently value Anderson this is way too much to give up for someone who doesn’t even have a contract

rangers get cheap good young cente and will pick in 1st round
NYR just give extension to Blais so he won't be trade for sure
And sorry but I would rather keep the first and Dvorak then taking Kakko. If NYR. Want to trade him is because he have under performing season and would like to flip him before is value is void. The more time pass and he look more like Yakupov kind of prospect.
And around #26 there still interesting prospect like Luneau, Hughes, Miroshnichenko and some other.
If NYR really want Dvorak there could be a trade around Kravtsov and a late pick maybe like second or third round pick. But even that if MTL pick Wright or Cooley we need to not rush them as #2c and Dvorak could buy time to prospect development.

With how MTL would end low for the next 2/3 year there no chance MTL do a hostile offer. The pick would be too good to give up. And while My.Tkachuk is really good your killing your future Goaltender in the process. With how uncertain Price is we could be without goaltender futur if we trade Primeau. He's still need one year in Laval to get is confiance and prime start.

If Montreal wants 2OA, they need to get Laine, not CBJ's picks. Caufield will most definitely get the 2nd overall pick

I could see both agreeing to this. Islanders are willing to trade 13. Montreal move up and shed salary and rebuild.

That too much to give first there four first round pick value here. S.Blais just resign a extension of one year with the team so won't be trade. Kravtsov and Kakko could be use to bring something back while lundkvist would probably more use to develop and add on Defense.

Very easy no for Winnipeg. No where close to enough value coming back from Carolina.
No chance a FA like Klingberg would be willing to go to Winnipeg, especially if they have just traded away 3 important roster players

But I can rationalize this kind of trade or defend it. That the hole reason this kind of website exist, to argue between people politely and giving yours opinion base of your knowledge or thinking.
Are they good ? Are they wrong ? Sometimes yeah sometime no . We could agree to disagree on some sujet.
Honestly is not the most bad trade I have seen about Fiala or the second overall pick. Could it be wrong yeah for some while other would see some good in that.
It's all about prospective in my opinion.

If fiala wants to much money
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jzooks37</b></div><div>I don't know why minny would look to trade fiala.. I assume fialia camp wants a great deal of money (9+) which I guess they don't want to pay him.. In my opinion it makes a lot more sense to try and sign him to abit of an overpay then trade him.. needless to say his name is all over the media as guy likely to be moved... It makes zero sense for Minnesota as team just entering there window and establishing themselves as a cup contending team to take a big step back and trade a very impactful forward for future assets such as nj pick or a 1st and prospect.. if they are looking to trade him the best package they could get is a high impact defenceman (like a Chychrun) or forward(liane) or a haul of two or three very solid players who can help them tremendously for the next several years.. I think if they would be looking to get a hual of guys Anderson armia Dvorak and a pick is the hula of players the will get back.</div></div>
One of reason that Minnesota want to trade Fiala is because of is high season of 80+ pts he would probably ask around 9 to 10m and Minnesota have buy out penalty around 13 to 15m because of the contract of Parise and Suter for the next 3 years.
But I'm totally agree with you, Minnesota window opportunity is now open for them, doing a pick or a pick and prospect could be a step back and close the window opportunity a little bit sooner.
