2021 Trades TDL ExpDraft and Entry Draft
Why does TB trade Cernak?? They protect 4/4/1. Seattle wants Johnson. Take him. They only lose one guy...

2021 Trades TDL ExpDraft and Entry Draft
TB Flatly declines and both Cernak and Sergachev are protected so don't give me the you'll loose either of them. TB is weakest at RD so they trade their best for a swap in picks and a LD where TB has an abundance? Outright dumb trade for TB!!!

Deadline Deals
As has been said if Shattenkirk was affordable for Tampa Bay he'd be wearing a bolt now probably slightly cheaper due to the fact he wouldn't have to pay CA's state income Tax or extremely high housing costs

Playing around to make it work
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jasalex</b></div><div>Hard to say, there are others ahead of them. Colton played well also. Very true. I’m not a big fan of the RD. And I don’t see how the cash would be available to re-sign either of Goodrow or Coleman

Veteran Fire Sale
Do you really think Silfverberg can get a 1st? I mean, he's 30, signed for 3.5 more seasons at $5.25M and averages about 40 points per season. I mean, NONE of the UFA forwards got that kind of deal last offseason. Taylor Hall was the only UFA forward to crest the $5.25M mark and he got a no-risk 1-year deal from Buffalo. They'll probably get a 1st for him at the deadline, I don't see Anaheim getting a 1st for Silfverberg though.
The TBL trade is unrealistic as well.

When Kuch returns for the playoffs
Johnson and Joseph are looking like large favorites for the last 2 forward spots. I don't think that Smith or ABB have a realistic chance. Especially not ABB, he hasn't even played, however, I could see Stephens challenging for a playoff spot. Whatever happens they are gonna have very good quality players scratched for the playoffs.

Stammer probably back tonight
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>matulix</b></div><div>I would actually like to see these lines. Stammer to take Cirelli's spot. Putting TJ or Joseph on 2C is not a good idea imo. Also these two lines would give TJ and Jo a chance to continue their success from last game.</div></div>
I think a huge reason TJ had success was because he played center. As a center, he didn’t have to do all the work on the boards and he could put himself in a scoring position. I wouldn’t mind TJ as 2C until Cirelli comes back.

Volkov's two way game is awesome. I think there will be a lot more movement around the forward group leading up to the deadline in an effort to showcase everyone. Close game late third Volkov will play with Cirelli and Killorn over Johnson. Late game need a goal Johnson Killer Cirelli. Need to pump everyone's numbers as much as possible. Gives Tampa more options when then inevitable sell comes up. The kicking of the can with the salary cap worked this season but JBB has to keep one eye on Point's extension.

They also want Johnson to play well enough for Seattle to take him or lower the price Tampa have to pay Seattle to take him</div></div>
They played Volkov with Kucherov and Point in Game 6 for a reason

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>redw1n9s</b></div><div>I wouldn't be doing this. Is Cirelli a legit 2C or does he look like one on a stacked TB roster?
We will draft and hope Veleno or someone else develops into a strong 2C.</div></div>
I think Cirelli is a good 2C and his personal play shows he isn’t hyped by his team around him but they sure do help - it definitely would be a big test for him to become your 1/2C (I know Larkin is 1) - but Cirelli doesn’t play with kucherov or point so he’s not getting the best of the best (not getting carried by stars) on his wings from Tampa

Detroit would you do this
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>buffbry</b></div><div>Wings aren't doing it. Cirelli is good but not worth the 9th pick or an unprotected 2022 pick if we fall within the top 8 of 2021.
Also taking on tj alone is going to cost them a first plus a top prospect. This is an easy decline from the wings pov</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NMAvsFan</b></div><div>Well, of course Detroit would do that but Tampa would have to consider that pretty carefully. The Wings are taking Johnson so that's good but they're only getting a top-8 protected pick for a legit 2C. I guess it depends on how long this goes on. At this point, I'm thinking JBB is going to wait to see if there even is a season.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>redwingsfan04</b></div><div>It’s an interesting idea but I don’t think I’d do it. IMO Johnson would cost a 1st to dump. That turns this trade into 2 1st’s for Cirelli which is too much for us to give up.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jasalex</b></div><div>Is Tyler shot? I am not sure. He is one year off of scoring 29 goals. If he can bounce back Detroit gets a 2C and 3C or RW for one pick. I was disappointed that Tyler did not have a better playoff run.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BStinson</b></div><div>If I was Yzerman, my first round pick would be entirely off the table. A lottery protected 2021 1st just turns into a great 2022 pick for TB.</div></div>
I think the biggest problems isn’t if Cirelli is worth a potential 9th OA (he is, especially in 2021) but what the 2022 draft holds as Stinson says. 2022 is shaping up to be a good draft (2021 looks decent) - if you’re gonna protect that pick in 2021 than I’d bet Tampa prays to god that you protect it so they get 2022
Cirelli is definitely great but having a 2022 first from a bad team be traded to tampa smells like a disaster for anyone trying to compete with Tampa

I could see TJ bouncing back but not sure he’ll be more than a 40-45 point guy at best. The risk would be that he doesn’t bounce back and we’re stuck paying him 5 mil for 4 more years. Also, even with the protection, there’s a very good chance that pick just gets pushed back to 2022 and is still a top 10 pick.

Tampa doesn't save anything in this situation. They need to cut $10-15M in cap space. This trade is practically a lateral move.

Possible How far do they go
The Lightning need cap space hence why they traded for Coleman who at 1.8M is a steal, they gave up a first round pick and first round picked player for Coleman for his contract for this year. I just don't see them trading him at all.
