<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blazingbat11</b></div><div>The reasoning that Zegras is already established in the NHL right now is bogus, and ANA should know this more than anyone</div></div>

Care to expand on this? You know how short the list of players putting up 60+ points twice before their ELC was over is? There's been 13 centers to do that in the entire salary cap era.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blazingbat11</b></div><div>Since they traded an established top young player in Drysdale for Gauthier...and look at that, ANA were the ones who had to add an asset.
</div></div>

Drysdale wasn't established, he had a good rookie season and then had every season after that destroyed by injury, go check his stat sheet since season one for games played. He was a distressed asset just like Dach was. I hope the kid finds health and success but we were all starting to get real concerned about his development due to how often how was getting injured and how many man games lost he has.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Blazingbat11</b></div><div> My guess is if ANA gets an offer for a 1st that's between 9-13 overall (and a RD is still available) along with a blue chip prospect (like a Barron, Beck, Mesar, Mailloux type player for MTL), Verbeek pulls the trigger. I just think MTL should stay away from Zegras altogether. ANA still need high end offense, and if they are willing to move Zegras anyway...I don't know what a bigger red flag could be....</div></div>

We're not looking to move him, our GM has publicly stated that to the press, the rumors that came out about it are from Seravalli, and his track record at being right about Anaheim is the same as mine is at bedding Hollywood superstars, zero.

Secondly, those aren't blue chip prospects, those are A- prospects, large difference. Reinbacher is a blue chip prospect, maybe.

Lastly, we again plan to keep Zegras in Anaheim, but with the level of ACGMs rolling in from Habs fans for the last two months trading everything under the sun, and usually crap offers like two late 2nds and Dvorak and a B prospect, we put together three options for Habs fans. Slafkovsky straight up, Reinbacher + MTLs 25 2nd, or 6OA + a Beck level prospect.

Those are the kind of offers that might pique Verbeeks interest enough to trade Zegras, otherwise he stays in Anaheim.
