Buffalo Sabres signed Jeff Skinner (8 Years / $9,000,000 AAV)
Cap inflation everyone and if you can score you get paid, not to mention he's a pending UFA. This is a goal scorers league, Skinner has been a consistent scorer in this league, he regresses to 25-25 and a 55-70 point pace it;s a fair deal. CAP INFLATION

Can't find you anywhere else, but what a turn around, surprising. What happens when you run with a hot goalie. I'd be a little worried signing binnington for more than 3 years at any dollar figure but do whatever it takes to take boston out please.

Which is on pace for 33 in the second half, on a team that struggled to score. I don't know what your issue is with that scoring pace.

Yeo got fired because the guys in the locker room didn't like him. 1 Thing I don't understand how do you like hockey when you were too fat to play hockey yourself? LOL take some anger management classes. Or punch your bedroom walls idk. Fluke streat, they can easily lose 5-6 in a row and be back to where they would be, without the streak they are a .500 team. HAHA

This isn't NHL 18 be a GM. Matthews has to accept the offer sheet and and want to come home. He's gone on record to saying he wants to be a Leaf long term. I don't see him taking an Arizona offer sheet. Not does he do a Tavares 8 years from now? Maybe? I am a Leafs fan and it would pain me but it's not like the situation with John leaving NYI. Leafs are sick, you're playing in hockey mecca, I great supporting cast on the team and they have had great success early in Matthew's career already. I think something earth shattering would have to happen for him to ever leave Toronto. I don't see it, and I don't think regardless Arizona is in a position to dedicate 120 million to a player. Just for starters.
Dubas is a magician too by the way. He's an outside of the box thinker, he will keep Toronto attractive for all core players.

Franchise players are given those contracts. Price had a down year, never knew a player couldn't have that on a garbage team infront of him. He's light years ahead of Jake Allen. You guys just don't want to pay up. And Skinner deal is way different then the goalie market. Last time starting goalies were traded was Andersen to Toronto maybe? 1st and 2nd. Then that rental on miller? Different markets. One star because you have convinced me time after time again you have no idea what you are talking about.
Especially when any team that takes Jake Allen is taking a cap dump. At least Price is a franchise goalie.

Ottawa Senators signed Brady Tkachuk (3 Years / $3,425,000 AAV)
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mothariah</b></div><div>Why does everyone keep saying he is a lock to play in the NHL this season? The kid had 8 goals last year in college. EIGHT. I get he has other elements to his game, and I not doubting that he will be a good NHL player, but there is no reason to rush him to the NHL when this team is going to be dreadful.
Am I the only one who thinks it might be a good idea to NOT see him in the NHL in 2018-19? Let him tear it up in the OHL or AHL and then give him a spot on the top line when Stone leaves.
As someone who follows the NCAA college hockey scene closely, I don't see anything in his game that shouts "NHL Rookie of the Year" in 18-19.
I look at it, and I see Casey Mittelstadt might be a comparable, but he at least played his age 18-19 year in college, and scored 30 point in 34 games (Tkachuk had 31 in 40 games).
No offense, but it feels like you're asking Joshua Norris (19th overall in 2017 by San Jose) to come in and play in your middle six. That guy had eight goals last year, too, and NO ONE is talking about him playing in the AHL in 2018-19, let alone the NHL.
Or how about Montreal's Ryan Poehling, who had 14 goals and 31 points in 37 games at St. Cloud last year as a freshman. He's part of an organization that HAS NO CENETERMEN, and yet he still isn't an "NHL player."
(I know offensive numbers aren't everything).
Let the kid develop...</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mothariah</b></div><div>Last point: Clayton Keller had 45 points (21+24) in 31 games in his only season in college. THAT screams "NHLer" to me. And he would have won rookie of the year in a lot of years in his first season after college.
That is NOT what I see is Brady Tkachuk.</div></div>
Couldn't have said it any better, I know he has other elements to his game, but it's bold taking him over Zadina. I found Brady a little overrated, I think it is a really dumb move on his part if he gets sent to Junior, considering he could've built on his rookie season in college.
Knowing the Sens in the hunt not to finish in last place they'll rush him, I can see it. Guy needs to do a lot more developing in his game though.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>A_K</b></div><div>We don't even know who will be on the third line! It's August bruh, don't act like you know everything...and I have disagreed with everything? Pretty much the exact opposite. I admit Jake Allen sucks, I know Bozak doesn't defend well. The only thing I took objection to was you saying that the Blues are "top-heavy" and "need more depth". Those arguments are flawed. So now you're just making up arguments and calling me a crybaby. Maybe you're mistaking me for a different Blues fan on here, but I don't go around boasting about Tyler f-ng Bozak and our dominating 3rd line, I'm not blind. I'm pretty objective when it comes to evaluating the Blues. But you seem like fun so I'll give you a couple more facts to discuss.
Barbashev sucks? It’s a small sample size (<100 NHL games for each) but Barbashev scores at a better rate than Kapanen (1.53 p/60 vs 0.86 p/60 at 5v5) and he plays center. These guys were drafted in the same year and have had similar paths to NHL… You said Barby sucks; then Kap sucks too. Oh wait, he scored a pretty SH goal in the playoffs, he must be a god.
Trade Parayko? He is one of 15 defensemen in the NHL to play at least 2,000 5-on-5 minutes the past three seasons with a Corsi-for and expected goals-for percentage above 53. Those were his first 3 seasons. Normally, you can start to judge a defenseman after 200 NHL games… he’s at 242 and among the best 2-way defensemen in the league. We moved on from Shattenkirk to balance out the lineup, we won’t trade Parayko to unbalance it again. Trading Parayko would put Schmaltz or Bortuzzo into our top four. Do we really want to do that?</div></div>
Never said trade Parayko. I said one big name at some point.
Your 3rd line is all one dimensional players. Not my fault you don't see that, that isn't depth.

Your 3rd line isn't a good 3rd line, I proved why. 3rd line is supposed to be a hard to play against checking line that can produce offence if need be and take defensive zone faceoffs.
