Great point, I have Osh LTIRetiring here so that spot would be open on PP1. Our PP will likely be redesigned this offseason with the new coaching staff so there may be room for two guys in front/down low

If the leafs don't make a good run this year and Mathews's full NMC kicks in next season things could get bad. that being said.
If Mathews goes to the market I have heard on a couple of tsn and Sportsnet shows that there are multiple teams already getting ready for that and LA would be one of the big ones there, Kopitar retires or takes a lesser role, use his $10 mill plus a little extra and then get Mathews to slide in at like 13 or 14 x7. You would think he would be happy living in LA, a better org, and is still close to home.

islanders didnt move the 13th overall pick for a 3rd pairing guy. We also have Salo, who is without a doubt going to be a full time NHL player. Only way we make this move is if we move Salo as a part of the deal.

But, Provorov isnt worth a 1st. he isnt. will he get one? Probably if a team is desperate. but he isnt that stature of player

I mean they had him and TOM WILSON playing 3rd line w McM so I guess Tom Wilson is a bottom 6 loser also lol. A guy who has a 50+ p pace over the last 3 years isn’t top 6 anymore. The part that makes me LOL is that is the Kings. Same fan base that will glorify Iafallo who has 37p. He had less points than Sheary. Mantha would be top 3 winger in LA. Would add more depth than Durzi would wOnt have a roster spot over DD Roy Walker Spence. Such a great talent doesn’t even have a spot on a healthy LA team. I think he would fill in great on the capitals RSD since we don’t have any but this dude think Durzi is DD at the age of 23 lol

Good logic. 3 years ago he had 38p 43gp. Lol but yeah 5 years ago right?

Mantha had 23p in 37gp coming off injury. That’s a 50p pace. That’s easily top 6. He played with Oshie in the playoffs and was one of our best players 4p in 6gp.

Mantha stats are better than 1/2 of your top 6 and very close to Kempe. Lol.

53.89cf% 55.47FF% 53.35xgf%. He’s not a defensive liability and has great possession numbers. Just wondering what you think a top 6 player should be? LA had 3 guys w more than 50 points and 3 guys w 20+ goals. Lol one over 30. Mantha was on a 20g pace this year 😊. Durzi was also playing 3rd pairing from what I saw. Great prospect? He’s 23 years old and played 64g… not a prospect.

136gp 90p 54p pace player 😊 over the last 3 season. That’s top 6 on most NHL teams.
