Seems he knows about as much as you. The blues are the only team that can sign him to 8 years. Lebrun is great so is McKenzie and Friedman.... none of them know a damn thing about the CBA.

Again only the blues can sign petro to an 8 year deal. They owned his rights prior to the TDL.

The offer as reported was 7.7m but the term and structure were not known. There were rumours that it was as low as 4 years. I believe it was probably 8.

7.7m x 8 is the same as 8.8 x 7. His main issue was structure. It sounds like it was salary and back loaded. Leafs will front load the deal to the maximum allowable.

If the blues can get together with the leafs and complete the first sign and trade... even better. Leafs would probably do 7.7m x 8 on the spot.</div></div>

Sorry bud but that 8 year extension rule after the deadline was eliminated from the new CBA that was signed July 10, 2020.

The first link it says it halfway down but I figured you would question the integrity of the link so I went to the CBA website and looked it up and its true. If you acquire his rights before he becomes a UFA you can sign him to an 8 year. I knew Pierre Lebrun wouldn't make a mistake like that, especially since I remember it was Lebrun who brought up on TSN about how EK couldn't sign a new contract with SJS until after the upcoming TDL.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMs</b></div><div>Danault &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt; Stastny
Vesalainen = Poehling so Domi &gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt;&gt; Vesalainen
Schneider = Juulsen same type of player, no offense but good stay at home D. We already have that in Juulsen and Fleury
Lehkonen + 1st &gt; Tuch

Montour ? Wtf we don’t need Montour

Anyway there’s so many things wrong here I’ll just block you you are a lost case</div></div>

Block me on an internet forum. Like I care. But I am not the one who is a lost case. I actually agreed that Danault was better then Statsny, but you get a RW signed for a bargain for 6 (SIX) years. That is worth a helluva lot more then Danault for one more year. The Stastny part of the trade was only so we didn't have to give as much. We don't need Lehkonen if we are keeping Armia (PS They are the SAME type of player). The first was to entice VGK to do the trade. Vesalainen is worth a lot more then Poehling (he wasn't even traded so wtf). And Domi is not as good on the wing as he is at center and we DONT NEED more centers with Zuke and KK. Schneider is for RD depth, but can be interchanged with any of the middle draft wingers like Mercer or Quinn. And Montour for 2 years gives our prospects more time to develop. If the ACTUAL GM thinks that Cale Fleury or Noah Juulsen (or in the off chance Josh Brook is ready), you trade Domi for a 1st. Anyway I hope you do have me blocked because every comment you post that is not on your own thread is you thinking everyone elses proposals are dumb.
