Bemstrom would be a good get
Hate to give up on Podkolzin, see more fit for him then Hog. But have to give to get.
Would you rather Peeke or Boquist if both were to be made available? How much more for Boquist?

Peeke Trading
He has a good attitude:) that’s positive.
Looking at peekes value and use in CBJ- he is a green jacket winner, on the ice for most 5v5 goals against and isn’t exactly getting a ton of trade offers himself despite being 5th on the RHD list for the team. Canucks would do well to get Boquist instead.
But Peeke is similar to Tanev whom worked with Hughes so there is a value in trying this.
Hog and a 3rd is fair to overpay. I could see not including Garland and hogs potential selling the deal.
Moving Garland is beneficial for the canucks and he isn’t obscenely overpaid- next season after cap hike he will look way more tradeable.

Crazy I know right
Canucks decline. Don’t trade Demko for all assets involved. Also we don’t trade goalies to NJ anymore after schneider.
This leaves Canucks worse off while strengthening a division rival.
Sadly this middling Canucks squad is trying to compete. So no gutting the roster without upgrades.

Follow up on NucksExec Trade Leafs POV
You had me right until Trading away Boeser for Zadorov...... I do not get how a Boeser on the third line is less desireable than Zadorov.
I have always thought of Boeser of being in the Kessel mould, in that he would be a great 3rd line scoring threat while away from the best checkers.
S.Jones is an expensive fill in on the top pair, but I also cant think of anyone else available RHD to put there so Im here for it. Like your thinking on everything but the final CGY trade. Just my opinion:)
Nice work, this for sure is a contender.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bwhsocal</b></div><div>explain why AZ would trade the UFA they just signed (who could get nice return at TDL too) for a 33yo struggling D who is not part of a rebuild plan (even at 50% will be tough TDL) and a AHL/injury call up and a 3rd, when they have more picks than can use now. nothing here AZ needs or wants</div></div>
Just an Idea on a fit for VAN. I also think dumba signed a one year contract this low because teams lacked cap space. I am not sure he wants to be there, nor do I think ARI want him the full season. Bidding early on him helps both teams.
If doing this means more picks/higher pick or maybe a better prospect then Im open to that idea also.
Myers plays 80+ games a year on a expiring contract and is RHD. he will have interest at TDL. Arizona wants young cheap roster players, maybe Van has to part with more. Hoglander would be a player that could excel with better line mates and more minutes, maybe a Garland or Beaulivier if they prefer. Add any one of those three in if you need more roster skill.
My uneducated fan opinion is ARZ just wants to get high picks from their own draft and not really be a good team until their ownership have a set place to play. So maybe they need more but I think they listen to the offers anyways.

I don’t think Arizona does that deal either, they could probably retain on Dumba and get a better return without taking back a cap dump</div></div>
I think Arizona wants to send out real dollars. I agree maybe Dumba gets them more at TDL, maybe i should add in another pick or something. But Arizona seems to want young cheap players to just ice a team and they hope to find a diamond in the rough or keep adding high picks.

Also I am just having fun and think he would be a good fit in Van.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>aedoran</b></div><div>I don't mind Rathbone but with the defensive prospects Detroit has I doubt they'd give a 3rd for him.</div></div>
Like a lot of armchair minor deals; it’s a placeholder deal. Rathbone could get a 3-5 round pick at the deadline for a playoff run depth.
Could package him and another depth guy with little value.
I moved him to move a contract. Every team has a Rathbone, I agree his value is low.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>emoprettyboy</b></div><div>lmao the Sens adding makes no sense. Sens shouldn’t even do it straight up, let alone add. Myers is just tall Zaitsev on a more expensive contract. the difference in value between the two is closer to being a 2nd the other way.</div></div>
Major rumours this is the trade they are talking about. Myers is an NHL defenseman. Quality to be debated.
Zatsiev cleared waivers, and has a bad attitude.
Myers playing 80 games a year and 20 minutes is good. He’s just over paid for what he brings.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>AusCanuck</b></div><div>Why trade Hughes if you're keeping Petey/Miller/Boeser/Garland/Kuzmenko?</div></div>
-Time. Ran out and saved it and posted lol.
Also value. Peteys value can go up, he has great chemistry with his line and with his contract time is on nicks side to have him increase his value after last year was down.
Miller is near untradable now.
Boesers value has never been lower and we have time to wait him out to recover.
Kuzmenko can resign with nicks Jan 1. Try for 4-5 year term, if he keeps this up a 4-5 mill contract could get a big return for Canucks for a UFA signing.
Once players above him leave, Garland can get top 6 ice time. In a more offensive role his numbers will improve. His D is not good for bottom 6.
