Description
Myers only has 1M actual cash to pay, ARZ should like that. Rathbone will have a chance to play and hasn't/doesn't fit the canucks plans. Another pick to their collection for their all ELC team.
Dumba has been a discussed fit for Vancouver for some time. Is on reasonable contract for 1 year trial with Hughes, and give Van its first real complete top 4 D in years.

Signed Tatar for proven scoring depth, gives better distribution of scoring in hopes of having 4 lines. Cap hit less than last year based on not being signed and older.
He and Garland would be competing for fit between line 2-3.
Tatar give flexibility to trade a Beaulivllier/boeser/garland without winger in return deal, maybe to get a RHD upgrade to dumba next year.
Signed Bear for depth, also not signed coming off injury. He will want any contract at some point, was a decent fit for canucks and he should like the chance to take his opportunity when it comes. Also I like him and this is my fake team and we can bury this one year contract in abbotsford.

Rest of team is what it is, EP40 projects to be a top 10 scorer and improved 2 way guy, Miller proves me wrong every game and drives his own line very well. I think a Dumba like RHD will make the offense better and improved D core will improve Demkos numbers and who ever is backup.

We have a top 10 Center (EP40), top 10 D (Hughes) and a once top 10 G, now trying to prove he still is in Demko. A second line W in Tatar and one more top 4 D in dumba makes the nucks ready to make some noise.

While Tatar is solid, we really have no need at all for him. We already have too many wingers

I don’t think Arizona does that deal either, they could probably retain on Dumba and get a better return without taking back a cap dump

explain why AZ would trade the UFA they just signed (who could get nice return at TDL too) for a 33yo struggling D who is not part of a rebuild plan (even at 50% will be tough TDL) and a AHL/injury call up and a 3rd, when they have more picks than can use now. nothing here AZ needs or wants

I think Arizona wants to send out real dollars. I agree maybe Dumba gets them more at TDL, maybe i should add in another pick or something. But Arizona seems to want young cheap players to just ice a team and they hope to find a diamond in the rough or keep adding high picks.

I also think dumba signed a one year contract this low because teams lacked cap space. I am not sure he wants to be there, nor do I think ARI want him the full season. Bidding early on him helps both teams.

Also I am just having fun and think he would be a good fit in Van.

Just an Idea on a fit for VAN. I also think dumba signed a one year contract this low because teams lacked cap space. I am not sure he wants to be there, nor do I think ARI want him the full season. Bidding early on him helps both teams.

If doing this means more picks/higher pick or maybe a better prospect then Im open to that idea also.
Myers plays 80+ games a year on a expiring contract and is RHD. he will have interest at TDL. Arizona wants young cheap roster players, maybe Van has to part with more. Hoglander would be a player that could excel with better line mates and more minutes, maybe a Garland or Beaulivier if they prefer. Add any one of those three in if you need more roster skill.

My uneducated fan opinion is ARZ just wants to get high picks from their own draft and not really be a good team until their ownership have a set place to play. So maybe they need more but I think they listen to the offers anyways.
