So you understand what the Blues can do with Pietra
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Wqrrior</b></div><div>Your name is not there now. It was there to draw your attention so you could see a HOCKEY MOVE. So what if somebody disagrees with your input on a SIGNING. That happens every day on this site.
I honestly couldn't care less if my name was in a title to draw my attention to it. I am interested in all sides of a hockey argument. I'm here to talk hockey. What's the worst that could happen on a HOCKEY site if that's what we are drawn to?
What isn't needed here is the flame posting, the anger and the rage. I feel strongly against people who get violently aggressive towards a trade/idea on here. We are here to share ideas and see both sides of the coin - this is NOT an application for a real GM job. Some people see it as that, and based on your attitude, you are one of those people.
Again, you mocked his idea, you called him out, you spread lies about him and overall you drew more negative attention towards yourself than simply having your name in the title originally suggested. Honestly you should feel embarrassed more for how you acted on this thread than for being called out in contrary to your idea on a simple signing on a casual website.</div></div>
<a href="/users/Wqrrior" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Wqrrior</a> that how you draw attention. You don’t go public and try to humiliate or make fun of people. If you think that this was ok you are not worth wasting a single more minutes of my time with you.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>pharrow</b></div><div>where are the MTL Kov lovers who claim he's a great signing. I mean you'd want to hold onto him for the playoffs push right, wouldn't you???
Just more confirmation on how he is washed in this league. MTL fans can't wait to dump him hoping to get something that actually improves their team.
But most teams passed on him even at league min because they all know he can't keep up with the pace that teams want to play with. Especially in the playoffs when the speed of the game gets ratcheted up a notch.</div></div>
You must be the brother of the other nobel prize winner. Talking about pace that team want to play when he play for one of the fastest team in the league. That is literally the stupidest comment someone could make.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bigZ98</b></div><div>First of all, no. You can say they play similar styles but to say they play the same style? Wrong. There is a reason Penguins are almost leading the league and montreal looks like a lottery team after every game. And dont give me any of the "But we dont have super stars like Crosby and Malkin" or "Habs have been injured all season". Both Geno and Crosby have missed significant time and guentzal is out for the season. No one has had more injuries to their star power or in general than the penguins. If the pens really wanted him we would have signed him. But we dont need him. Period. Why is that so hard for you to get? Jesus</div></div>
And what is so hard to get that he would fit perfectly the penguins! I want to see him beside malkin or crosby and i don’t care if you don’t. You don’t seem to know nothing about hockey since you can’t even realize that Mtl and Pittsburgh play the same style of Hockey. Pittsburgh have always been competitive when one of Malkin or Crosby have been in their line up and that goes back to early’s 2010’s. The pens are the only team to have multiple hart trophy winner. It might be difficult for you to understand that since you know fkall about the rest of the league. And as for Kovalchuk he would be a nice addition to the Pens.

I think you don’t understand financial issues teams are facings. There rules that need to be fallow and a team who is rebuilding aren’t targeting 34 years old center. Teams who might have interest in bozak have financial obligation and will probably have to move a bad contract to make it happen so the blues will fave the same problem. Jake allen won’t be traded unless the blues retain a major part of is deal or without taking a contract back. I am not inventing the rules here, historicaly there’s some precedent and some constant.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>bigZ98</b></div><div>Its not about comparing their skill. Its about comparing how they both fit into the system. The penguins system is all about speed, dump and chase, heavy forecheck. Kovy does not fit that system just like chukcy doesnt. He is old, slow, and all he would be good for is on the PP but no reason for someone to take a full roster spot just for being a PP specialist. Just because they played a couple times on the russian team does not mean they will play well in the NHL. Malkin has finally bought into sully's system and bringing Kovy in would throw him off of that.</div></div>
And how do you think Montreal style of play is.Montreal play the exact same way that Pittsburgh. Both are built on speed and heavy pressing down low to establish cycle. Your statement is a complete joke. Kovalchuk is use with a speedy danault and tatar and he is just fine. Malkin like to enter the offensive zone with puck control and often lets a trailer to is winger to stretch ice, kolvachuk could clearly be that winger with that hard release or he could find open rust or malkin with is higb hockey iq. I mean Montreal and Pittsburgh are literally playing the same style. The biggest difference is Pittsburgh have talent but the point if kovalchuk is able to skate with the high Mtl pace he will be able to speed with any team in the league.

I doubt they will get anything from them. Allen have shown already that he can’t handle the number one duties no team will just take is contract for nothing blues will have to pay big time or take back another bad contract like team have done this summer. And bozak could probably be moved but the return won’t be incredible and the blues will have to retain some salary. Have you looked around the league almost everyteam next year will face major cap issues. And the gary bettman wasn’t looking to raise the salary cap by much. Toronto had to pay a ridiculous price to drop marleau contract. James reimer was traded for scott darling to bad contract. There will be just a few team that will have money to acquire players and they aren’t playoff team so i really doubt they will be interest in a number 2 goalie who’s making way to much and a 34 years old centerman without gaining a major prize out of it.

I hope you don’t compare Chucky to Kovalchuk? We are a thousand miles appart. Even if kovalchuk have lost some of is speed is hockey iq was, is and will be better then Galchenyuk. And he is 35. That why they where no 1st round pick included in that deal. Montreal taking full charge of steen contract help st louis a lot here and the package is still very good for parayko. I love Parayko but i don’t think he is in the top tier defenseman in the league. He might be in the top of the second tier. He is undeniably one of the best shutdown defenseman in the league. He is similar to niklas haljmarsson was to the hawks with a little bit more offense. I don’t think that the value here with the steen contract throwing in is off. Fan always think that their players are worth more but it was based on the bufyglien trade. To similar players with salary dump contract included.

I think that the value is pretty fair here. With the cap dump include in that deal. Josh brook is a really good right handed prospect. He 2 second round pick will probably be between 30-45 overall so a chance to get 2 excellent players out of it. If i look back at the Bufyglien trade, i think that we are pretty damn close to the value here. maybe change the prospect from ylonen to poehling but that a good package for a players like parayko. I didn’t get why the gm acquire faulk and give him such a long term deal. But clearly he have plan for him and he see faulk in Blues uniforms for long time. If pietrangelo extend with st louis it will become extremely though to keep all these right handed defenseman happy. The goal for the Kings this season is to get younger by providing opportunities to their young players, acquire picks, prospects, and start to clear cap space to offset our bad contracts. With this deal the Kings get older, downgrade a pick, add more cap space, and lose defense (an area where they are weak). This is just a bad match.</div></div>
