Even if the trade is pretty bad. The facts that paul byron is 30 here have absolutely no incidence on is play since he still is one of the fastest players in Nhl. Fast players don’t age the same then big checking players. Byron can still score 15-20 goal and is a true hame changer for a penalty kill unit. He was having a bad start this year but was olaying a lot better in the last 7-8 game before getting that leg injury. I have no doubt about is ability to come back and have a impact. Having a guy like him on the third line or fourth line of your hockey team is something all coaches want. He is very responsible on the ice and with is speed he strech the ice and open up space for team who like to generate offense eith the fast transition defence offense.

TDLTIME DEAL WITH THE RIVAL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>This is just disgusting Barrie is better than Petry and Kapanen is better than Kovalchuck</div></div>
Barrie is maybe better offensively but he suck so much on defense that make him a very average defenseman. Petry is much more efficient defensively. Is number don’t reflect is efficiency since he haven’t had a real partner this year due to mtl lack on the left side. But he is one of the best puck possession defenseman and he have a physical advantage over barrie. He have a more all around game and this isnt even close.

Kovalchuk to BOS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>shmoeman</b></div><div>Im annoyed the Bs didnt take a shot at him, but no chance they trade their best prospect for him. Or any other team for that matter</div></div>
I agree on that i don’t think team will give prospect for him but i think that some team will be welling to pay a second round for him. Is contract make him a high prize players. He won’t affect the cap and the team won’t need to gave some players back for salary purpose of the cap.

Kovalchuk to BOS
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ON3M4N</b></div><div>Ya that's not going to happen. If the Bruins wanted Kovy it would have happened. MTL didn't offer him some contact no one could match, no contender made a serious play for him.</div></div>
Montreal took a guess on him. And since they had cap flexibility and nothing to loose at this point they gave him a call. Team were afraid of kovalchuk long term inactivity and since almost everyteam who are in playoff contention are tight against the cap no one would take the risk of wasting money on him. But now thing are different, he look like the great players he use to be. He will draw a log of interest around the league by the deadline. Game after game he keep competing at a higher level and showing to everyone that he still got it.

Max Domi Read description
Any deal that would send domi to the canuck would start with hoglander and a pick. Domi is 25 and just enter is prime years. Myers is not interesting at all for montreal, sven beartschi is the charles hudon of the canucks a players who dominate in ahl and can’t have success in nhl. And juolevi is the noah juulseb of the habs, a first round pick who have been more often on injury reserve then on ice. This return is just not good at all.

Roster Questions Why are so many being sent down
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Claesson4Norris</b></div><div>A lot of teams have a bye week heading into the Allstar Weekend, which means they don't play for a week. The idea behind sending those guys down is so these young guys can keep playing during the week off.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BuFfaLOFaN</b></div><div>Oh, ok that makes sense... I was thinking the sabres had 2 meet roster cuts or something</div></div>
And for a team like the sabres who are tight against the cap sending those players will make save then money and eventually could be use for a transaction later.

If kreider was looking for that kind of deal he would already be sign by the Rangers. And he already stated that he don’t want to play for a canadian team. That bob mackenzie that mention that a few weeks ago. Zach kassian will be looking for a major raise.

I think a lot of the offers have been low in value myself but there are a lot of comments from other fan bases saying the value would be less.
I think you know very little about how a trade for dumba right now would look. You won’t be getting any stars back. You will get a decent roster player and futures.
I don’t think this troll post was worth your time.</div></div>
Why on every single post that you disagree on. They are always troll? It is possible some time that your not the one who is having all the answers. Do you think you are the only one here that have knowledge about hockey.

Right now he is looking more like a first round pick then a garbage package. If he continues putting point at that rate do you think a team will pay the big price for him. He could become a incredible weapon for a contending team. I could see him beside geno malkin in Pittsburgh.

Why Pittsburgh would do that trade? They already have a pretty good blueline, With all the injured players coming back they don’t need help at this position. They need some forward, winger to be more precise.

And you think that you are fine defensively since you suck all year long but that team is disgusting in their own zone. On defense Leafs aren’t checking stick and blocking pass lane. They let open the blue line so the opponent can enter the zone with full speed. Forward beiing caught out of position down in the zone that open shot lane. That not playing good defense. Watch some dallas or arizona game you will notice what good defensive play is

Defensively he is a total wreck. At home, he isn’t expose that much but when the leafs play on the road he get bad matchup and look out of position a lot. Ryan pulock would cost nylander. He might be the best players on the islanders team. A very good all around defenseman with a canon.
