TDL Cleaning after John Chayka
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>There is a good chance that only one of these two youngsters becomes a high-quality NHL goalie. Suppose Boston trades away one of them without giving him the opportunity to prove himself or the Bruins to assess him properly, and he's the one who turns out to be the next Henrik Lundqvist?</div></div>
There’s also a chance he becomes a Zachary Fucale. Goalies are extremely unpredictable. I say trade one of them or maybe even 2 out of the 3 before their trade value completely depletes. Tbh I don’t think they trade Swayman rn but its a great discussion point on if gms should hold onto high trade value goalies or keep them with a chance of them completely loosing value. In Boston’s case they have 3 amazing goalie prospects and loosing 1 with high trade value won’t kill them

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Radu47</b></div><div>Senyshyn is just not good
We can confirm that ✔
I mean he was drafted in such a ridiculous way too with Boston thinking they could just go out on a limb and draft someone because of the "twinkle in his eye"
All they really cited was his speed too ffs
What a joke</div></div>
Can confirm Shenyshn isn’t great. But tbf he was never highly touted until boston took him kinda high and I feel most sensible ppl knew he was a super raw prospect with the tangibles to make it. He’s getting to an age kinda like Ho Sang, Honka where if they don’t get traded and get a chance somewhere else they’re gonna find themselves out the league super quick.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OutCold13</b></div><div>Maybe hunt is worth a 6th, I mean it's a 6th so not going to fight tooth and nail over that, I've never seen Hunt play, but I get the feeling the Wild like the grit of Cramarossa. Doesn't really matter we are talking about AHL level guys who will see 3 to 20 games in the NHL over their career. So a trade like this really comes down to if the scouts see a hole that these guys can fill. Your trade is entirely plausible, I just know nothing about Hunt or if he is worth a pick as well.</div></div>
I feel as it is the wild have a lot of grit already in their lineup with guys like Joel Eriksson Ek, Foligno, Bjugstad and Greenway. A bottom 6 finesse guy would be great. But tbh a center for the 4th line would be a nice addition. A guy like brassard would be ideal.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OutCold13</b></div><div>Why do Wild add a pick when it's just a lifetime AHL guy swap?</div></div>
Dryden hunts been fine Not to mention they need some depth for the playoffs and Cramarossa doesn’t provide that. And Johnson and Rau have been poor. Maybe adding a non conditional pick was harsh. Maybe a conditional 6th round pick revolving playoff stipulations would be more practical.

Lol u ripped me apart. I haven’t checked on him in a while but if I’m not mistaken most of his points mostve been recent cause last time I checked he had abt 4 points in like 10 or so games. But the Avs have so much forward depth I feel that foudy is the one they try to part with if they have to that is

I doubt Zona wants a Debrusk for Garland deal anyway. Defeats the purpose of moving Garland to cut payroll and not pay him his arb $.</div></div>
Tbf Debrusk is gonna be cheaper than anything garland demands. And debrusks next contract might even be cheaper than the one he has now if he doesn’t pick it up. In terms of swayman. I think sooner or later they’re gonna have to pick between Vladar and him and I feel as if Vladar might be the catalyst to having a goalie be pushed out.

They’re both too good to be backups. I say they run with one or the other. Especially since they’ll both be asking for a lot of money down the line.

Season opener line up
No way Colorado do that. In terms of Dzingel I wouldn’t give him a 5 year deal. And instead of signing Barrie I say look at other options and maybe they try their hardest to go all in on Dougie Hamilton. I like the other signings and as a redwings fan I’d say Hirose is a very underrated and solid 4th line pick up but he’s definitely way to skilled and poor on defense to be on a 4th line role. He’s middle Six or bust until until he sures up his defense.

Maybe retain half on The Colorado trade. 3.4 for Reimer may be a lil much for the avs to eat. And I think it’s a fair price for the Anaheim trade aswell.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jfstompers</b></div><div>I'm all for letting the kids pay but your giving up 7 goals a game with the defense and goalie tandem.</div></div>
Lol I didn’t make any free agent signings but yes both those goalies will be in the ahl and so will a few of the defenders I think I left like 45 million but we have to take into acc that Dekeyser and Nielsen have 2 years on their deal. Aswell as greiss so we’ll have abt 35 million in free agency to work with. And I def see a lot of holes being patched on defense and goalie. At this point I’m willing to over pay for a top 6 F, a top 2 dman and a starting goalie.

Yes Ik. Dekeyser Nielsen and Greiss all have 2 years on their deal so that’s abt 14 million and I definitely expect us to sign atleast 2 biggish free agents. And also we will most likely take back a bad contract or two. This was all mentioned in my description.

Seattle? Or am I missing something. Also with 12 million left u can probably take back another bad contract. For example a guy like Komarov from the isles especially if u send them Garland and as it is the barely have cap.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NickC1988</b></div><div>Agreed, the bottom pair is going to be interesting. Ideally, having DeMelo on the 3rd pair would be great for depth purposes and ice time distribution, but who do they add? Hamilton? Or, do they go after Vatanen perhaps? Trade for Dumba? Tough situation really. Also, $3M is kind of a lot for a 3rd pair guy.</div></div>
I can see a situation where they go cheap on offense and instead of adding another top 6 forward they can just promote Andrew Copp to the second line they try and grow Vesalainen or Perfetti on the third with Lowry and Appleton. By doing that they save $5-6 mill and they can go all out on a defense partner for Morrisey. Ideally Hamilton.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NickC1988</b></div><div>Saad wouldn't be a bad add, I think WPG might have the option to make a bigger splash, possibly via trade. The money is there for it.</div></div>
Yea I agree. I was tryna look for an ideally young winger to fit that core and Saad stood out especially with his good play on the avs. I feel that they want to replace stastny before it’s too late simply because of his age so this is gonna be the year to do it. Especially cause they’ll have $29 million in cap and practically an entire top 6 filled out minus 1 player which I decided on Saad. I feel they’ll have the money to force Lowry back and Copps an RFA so they’ll definitely try and get him long term since it’s his last RFA year. The defense is still something I have many questions on and I wonder what cheveldayoff is gonna do. All and all they’re in a great position for the future with a great core.

Put Komarov on the taxi squad for a bit more cap flexibility but other than that it’s a great squad. Could use a cheap defender or 2.

How does Tampa get out Cap Hell next season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Warrior24</b></div><div>Isles most likely need Boychuk's salary for their own cap issues, unless Ladd goes on LTIR as well. As of no they will say no as this trade puts them over the cap with no LTIR relief.
Have no interest in Killhorn as the Isles cannot afford his salary.
At $1.5 Casey stays with the Islanders.</div></div>
To ur point the trade was designed on the idea that they put Ladd on LTIR next year. As for killorn he semi replaces Casey with grit and Casey’s signing rights was added in the trade. The reason I lowballed is cause 1.5 is a good price for a contender like Tampa. Take in mind Florida doesn’t have a state tax, to my knowledge atleast.
