23-24 Cap Compliance
Imagine being Lehner, going from one of the most energetic environments in the NHL to…a glorified practice rink.
It would truly be the most VGK move, but I imagine ASU is on his NTC. Same with Martinez.
Then again, it didn’t stop them with Dadonov, I guess.

Give it up Leafs people. Cap dumps cost more than this.

Lucic yes, but Monahan I disagree with. Teams skipped out on Tarasenko last year because injuries hurt his numbers and teams generally don't make the same mistake twice. Also Keith and Risto got very good returns considering they are roughly the same caliber players

I dont even think running it back is a bad plan. It's just...
So. Boring... lmao
Im not a flames fan either, but I live in Calgary so I wouldn't hate seeing them do well haha

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sebi</b></div><div>Call me crazy but I can see San Jose unqualifying John Leonard. He’s been abysmal this year in the ahl and even tho he’s highly touted and was given strictly nhl time last year, he didn’t preform well at all. Being that he’s only a 6th round pick it would be too much of an upset if they let him go. I’ve always found him pretty overrated</div></div>
He's found his touch of late 7 pts in last 9 games. they'll qualify him because he still has an elite shot. Just needs to put the rest together.

he had a rough start to this season but he has turned it around as of late. has plus offensive gifts to go with a solid above average defensive game. would be a solid bottom 6 for us.
that being said I wouldn't be shocked if he isn't resigned next season, but i would keep him around and let him work on his game and give him a little more time to develop.

I believe Sandin is offer sheet eligible, but Liljegren isn't. So Lily sign for one year under a 1m. But really the defence is much weaker without Holl and Dermot and having Bortozzo and Rubins in.
Ho Sang, Robertson and Amirov on the team? That's weak next year and absolutely no centre ice depth.
Like that you made a 23 man roster, but doubt if the Leafs can get cap relief by trading Ritchie

I'd much sooner trade Sheary. Hathaway brings a better grit presence and makes it so Wilson doesn't have to do that all on his own, and his 4th line chemistry with Dowd is something that is hard to match. I would instead trade Sheary and move Protas or Sprong to the left side.
Also not a fan of bringing in Leddy, Especially not for two years.
My preferred lines here would be
Ovi-Kuzy-Wilson
McMichael-Backy-Mantha
Sprong-Eller-Oshie
Hathaway-Dowd-Protas
Fehervary-Carlson
Orlov-Jensen
Alexeyev-TVR
Lapierre, Cholo, Leason/AJF as scratches

TDL Cleaning after John Chayka
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sebi</b></div><div>Dryden hunts been fine Not to mention they need some depth for the playoffs and Cramarossa doesn’t provide that. And Johnson and Rau have been poor. Maybe adding a non conditional pick was harsh. Maybe a conditional 6th round pick revolving playoff stipulations would be more practical.</div></div>
Maybe hunt is worth a 6th, I mean it's a 6th so not going to fight tooth and nail over that, I've never seen Hunt play, but I get the feeling the Wild like the grit of Cramarossa. Doesn't really matter we are talking about AHL level guys who will see 3 to 20 games in the NHL over their career. So a trade like this really comes down to if the scouts see a hole that these guys can fill. Your trade is entirely plausible, I just know nothing about Hunt or if he is worth a pick as well.

How does Tampa get out Cap Hell next season
One possible path to Tampa managing the cap not only next year, but also down the line, is to move Johnson, Killorn and McDonagh. While it will hurt some to lose McD, by doing this Tampa frees up enough cap space to likely keep Goodrow, possibly Coleman, and then sign a relatively inexpensive
3LD while fitting in the smaller pieces. By getting a ~2 million aav 3LD, and potentially upgrading the #7 for mainly the right side, Tampa will still be fine defensively while maintaining one of the league’s best offenses. They should be able to get a little value for Killorn and then move one of McD or Johnson to Seattle with a sweetener. McD will get left exposed anyway, but it will likely take a deal to have Seattle take him. Johnson reportedly was going to be moved before Kucherov’s injury, and now he has 20 teams that he has to submit a list for possible trade locations. These moves also set Tampa up better for when Point and the main rfas are due. More than likely the cap will be going up in time for some of these deals, and there will be a couple other departures in the next couple of years as well to open up a little more cap. This plan doesn’t guarantee keeping Coleman, but gives them a good chance and should set everything else up as well. It may not happen, but moving out McD after this year(with a couple lower cost replacements on defense ready to sign/be traded for) is a very viable course to keep much of the team together next year.

Stuart Skinner is to normal of a name for Columbus to be interested in, all of Columbus's goalies have to have weird names that you have to practice to pronounce.
