TDL Cleaning after John Chayka

Créé par: Sebi
Équipe: 2020-21 Coyotes de l'Arizona
Date de création initiale: 4 avr. 2021
Publié: 4 avr. 2021
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
My best attempt at trying to recoup Picks and players since Chayka left this team in a weird middle ground. I probably lowballed myself on some trades but the market may be weird this TDL
Transactions
1.
ARI
  1. DeBrusk, Jake
  2. Senyshyn, Zach
  3. Swayman, Jeremy
  4. Choix de 3e ronde en 2021 (BOS)
Détails additionnels:
Jeremy Swayman is the center piece in this trade imo. Boston already have Dan Vladar and I feel one of those 2 are expendable in this case I took the more Raw prospect. I feel that both Senyshyn and Debrusk are both in major need of a change of scenery.
BOS
  1. Garland, Conor
  2. Sucese, Nate
  3. Choix de 5e ronde en 2022 (ARI)
Détails additionnels:
Garland should fuel Boston’s scoring woes and replace debrusk nicely. Sucese is just a filler player and I don’t see him having much nhl upside if at all
2.
ARI
  1. Cramarossa, Joseph
  2. Choix de 6e ronde en 2021 (MIN)
3.
ARI
  1. Choix de 3e ronde en 2022 (CBJ)
Détails additionnels:
The Jets desperately need a top 4 left handed D. Goligoski probably isn’t the answer but who knows.
WPG
  1. Goligoski, Alex (2 737 500 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
Goligoski at half price should fit snug under the jets cap.
4.
ARI
  1. Foudy, Jean-Luc [Liste de réserve]
  2. Jones, Peyton
  3. Choix de 5e ronde en 2023 (COL)
Détails additionnels:
Foudy has played subpar in the ahl but he has quite the potential to blossom
COL
  1. Raanta, Antti (2 125 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
Colorado already have 7 goalies on roster. So I took back their worst one on an expiring deal so AZ can dump him at the end of the year.
5.
ARI
  1. Choix de 3e ronde en 2021 (DAL)
DAL
  1. Brassard, Derick
Détails additionnels:
Dallas is definitely in the hunt for the playoffs and they have games in hand. Brassard could help them get over the hump especially since they need bottom 6 scoring and brassard has been a great scorer in AZ this season.

They’re both too good to be backups. I say they run with one or the other. Especially since they’ll both be asking for a lot of money down the line.

Boston declines. Swayman deal breaker.

I doubt Zona wants a Debrusk for Garland deal anyway. Defeats the purpose of moving Garland to cut payroll and not pay him his arb $.

Tbf Debrusk is gonna be cheaper than anything garland demands. And debrusks next contract might even be cheaper than the one he has now if he doesn’t pick it up. In terms of swayman. I think sooner or later they’re gonna have to pick between Vladar and him and I feel as if Vladar might be the catalyst to having a goalie be pushed out.

A lot of money for what? Swayman is on year 1 of his ELC and Vladar is a pending RFA with limited NHL time. They won't command a lot for many more years

Garland does not have that kind of leverage. He can file for arbitration. His career ppg average going into it will be very similar to Debrusk’s was last year. I expect if he goes to arb he’ll get 3.5-4m tops. Same as what Debrusk makes. It’s a wash in terms of payroll.

Boston has 3 goalies. Vladar, Swayman, Keyeser. They are under team control for quite some time. There is no need to rush to choosing between any of them.

Vladar is not a pending rfa. He has two more years at $750K.

It’s a good trade value and it would help Dallas for sure. Brassard is a much better option than some of the lumber jack already playing.

Problem is that Dallas will probably be sellers comes the TDL.

Foudy has played sub par in the AHL according to who? 9 pts in 17 games for an 18yr old who wouldn’t even be eligible to play if his junior team was playing. Hard pass from the Avs but thanks for the completely inaccurate scouting report.

Your right, it was last year he was an RFA. My bad. Even better though as he's not due up for 2 more seasons

How is an 18 year old scoring 9 points in 17 AHL games playing poorly? Hes off to a fantastic start

Actually, Winnipeg desperately needs RD not LD but Goligoski can also play RD so that will work out well.

Lol u ripped me apart. I haven’t checked on him in a while but if I’m not mistaken most of his points mostve been recent cause last time I checked he had abt 4 points in like 10 or so games. But the Avs have so much forward depth I feel that foudy is the one they try to part with if they have to that is

No way. His skating is NHL level already they just drafted him and honestly he probably isn’t pushing for a roster spot until 22-23 at the earliest they just drafted him. I’d slide him prospect wise somewhere around 7 (not counting Byram as a prospect), but he has top 6 potential so right now the Avs would be very reluctant to part with him.

Senyshyn is just not good

We can confirm that ✔

I mean he was drafted in such a ridiculous way too with Boston thinking they could just go out on a limb and draft someone because of the "twinkle in his eye"

All they really cited was his speed too ffs

What a joke

Dryden hunts been fine Not to mention they need some depth for the playoffs and Cramarossa doesn’t provide that. And Johnson and Rau have been poor. Maybe adding a non conditional pick was harsh. Maybe a conditional 6th round pick revolving playoff stipulations would be more practical.

Maybe hunt is worth a 6th, I mean it's a 6th so not going to fight tooth and nail over that, I've never seen Hunt play, but I get the feeling the Wild like the grit of Cramarossa. Doesn't really matter we are talking about AHL level guys who will see 3 to 20 games in the NHL over their career. So a trade like this really comes down to if the scouts see a hole that these guys can fill. Your trade is entirely plausible, I just know nothing about Hunt or if he is worth a pick as well.

I feel as it is the wild have a lot of grit already in their lineup with guys like Joel Eriksson Ek, Foligno, Bjugstad and Greenway. A bottom 6 finesse guy would be great. But tbh a center for the 4th line would be a nice addition. A guy like brassard would be ideal.

Can confirm Shenyshn isn’t great. But tbf he was never highly touted until boston took him kinda high and I feel most sensible ppl knew he was a super raw prospect with the tangibles to make it. He’s getting to an age kinda like Ho Sang, Honka where if they don’t get traded and get a chance somewhere else they’re gonna find themselves out the league super quick.

There is a good chance that only one of these two youngsters becomes a high-quality NHL goalie. Suppose Boston trades away one of them without giving him the opportunity to prove himself or the Bruins to assess him properly, and he's the one who turns out to be the next Henrik Lundqvist?

Spot on. Time will tell, especially with goalies. Wouldn't be trading any of the three right now let alone Vladar or Swayman.

Swayman IMO is the guy most likely to become a true #1 goalie. Vladar is a wild card for me. He's got amazing size and still developing, but at worst I see him as fringe NHL starter

There’s also a chance he becomes a Zachary Fucale. Goalies are extremely unpredictable. I say trade one of them or maybe even 2 out of the 3 before their trade value completely depletes. Tbh I don’t think they trade Swayman rn but its a great discussion point on if gms should hold onto high trade value goalies or keep them with a chance of them completely loosing value. In Boston’s case they have 3 amazing goalie prospects and loosing 1 with high trade value won’t kill them
