Idk abt Price because they are pretty cap ****ed ****ed for the next few years but the hertl trade is fair in value tbh

Sharks 2021-22 TDL Full blowdown
I wouldnt say its Negative because of his age and his past but I still think hes worth a 3 rounder
But yeah Barbie 100% could be extended I just did this after the abysmal past performances this month and if SJ goes full sell at the deadline but fair points

I'd be pretty close to accepting yeah, I dont think we'd want Greenway because we have a lot of good wing prospects coming up but Fiala can help now in the future so yeah we'd be close to accpeting tbh

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rob32sjsharks</b></div><div>I just like what Toffoli brings and we BADLY need a RW RHS top 6 guy now and for the next 3-4 years before guys like Coe, Robins, Weisblatt and Reedy can get a chance to prove they belong in that roll.
I hate trading picks and prospects for older players but Toffoli deal is + for a player of his caliber so a 1st and prospect would be warranted.
this is one of those deals that might end up looking bad in the long term, but if we draft in the 16-20 area I don't think we get a player of Toffoli caliber.</div></div>
I'm happy to trade picks depening on whereif we get players that are for "now and the future" as doug always says like a Adin Hill but over the next 2 draft years its best to keep our picks because we will most likely still be bad/mediocre then get over the hump after those 2 years.

Trade Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Rob32sjsharks</b></div><div>I would never argue that logic. If I was GM and more importantly had the ownerships blessing (this is something most ACGM don't think about! owners want to win just as bad as fans and they make quick bad judgements on GM jobs when they feel the GM isn't helping their team win) I would be a seller this trade deadline and try and move Hertl, Reimer, Simek, Bonino, and Clogliano for as much as I can get for them. I would also listen to offers for Knyzhov, Balcers, Barabanov, Nieto, but these 4 would have to come with good offers as I do like their play and feel they are valuable to us now and in the next few years.
I would try and open up as much cap space as I could, I would give our scouting team all the resources I could and try and have another draft like we did in 2020 and 2021 (both extremely good drafts for us).
with another above average 2022 draft consisting of 2 firsts and a plethora of mid round picks, combined with a few prospects we get from the deadline trade we would then have a legit top 5 prospect pool.
Sign a few short term deals with older vets (1-3 years) to bridge the gap from now till the prospects start making the team. (Bordeleau, Robins, Coe, Weisblatt, I would assume all still play in the minors or college next year and then they start making the team 23/24) and try and build a team that is good in the regular season but built for the playoffs. my hope would be to be a legit cup contender by 25/26 season.</div></div>
Yes I totally agree with this but the Toffoli trade is pretty lobsided.

Bro, the 2022 and 23 drafts are loaded through the first rounds and second rounds lmaoo, no one in the right mide would trade a 1st of a **** team in the best draft we've seen in 5 years and a top 6 potential prospect for a 30 year old RW, Doug is cleary looking to the future and a 3rd for Tierney is horendous as well he isnt good we can just sign him in FA if we really need him

team is childish. past doesn't matter. Since you can't accept a no, you have to start being disrespectful, and name calling, disrespecting wild. What have sharks done lately? Last 5, 10 years, or yeah nothing. 0 deep playoff run? This is how you show you are a troll , and have zero based argument. You might want to do your argument on Tomas h , and his no trade since you are trolling, being disrespectful . You aren't a gm either, so you can't sit here, and get mad when wild fans say no because you view a certain player abd their worth in an unrealistic view. Ps: the leafs gm wS laughed at by everyone

The Sharks have made the stanley cup in that time span and 3 confrence finals and have made the playoffs 7 out of those 10 years and have only missed the playoffs 9/31 years the wild have already missed the playofffs 10 times and we have been in the league longer and you have only been in 1 confrence final not any single stanley cup it's cleary a poverty racnhise lmaoo. And the player isnt a unrealistic view hes better than any of your centres right now lmaoo bro. I'm being realistic if it aint the wild its another cup team bro get that through your head.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GophersBenJ</b></div><div>That is your opinion! Just because teams like Tampa overpay for Rental, or because leafs gm was dumb enough to trade that much for nick foligno doesn't mean you can expect teams to overpay for a rental! That isn't how it works! Tomas is a free agent, and he will want to get to free agency. You aren't certainly getting that from Minnesota. Minnesota has won more, and rebuilt faster than sharks who are still bad , with bad contract. You shouldn't be calling Minnesota mediocre. Show the most recent times any team besides Tampa and leafs overpay for a rental. Hell, Taylor hall got a 2nd round pick. Jason Zucker, not a rental got a 1st , and b prospect that time</div></div>
Yes but again Tampa are back 2 back champions, and the leafs GM is pretty good and im not comparing Foligno to Hertl lmaoo, And yes if Hertl wants to leave we will trade him. Bro u have to be cleary 12 minnesota like san jose are poverty franchises and Minnesota has been medicore for a long long time. San Jose has the 3rd most playoff wins in the 2000's they have a MUCH better franchise than Minneosta but you cleary must be young the Hall deal for a second was A. He had like 2 points that year and B. he had the leverage and said he would only go to boston unlike Hertl who would want to go any where. But thats fine ur not a GM but if u dont pay for rentals u can remain poverty and mediocre like Minny has always been with 0 deep playoff runs. simple as that

a 2nd and Hunt is laughable, this is the price for the most important positon in the game u cant be to conservative or your going to be mediocre for ever just like the wild have been. Hertl will be the biggest fish out there look at what the Bruins gave up for Foligno and Nash a 1st lmaoo and they left after that. Giving up a 1st, a Top 6 potential forward and most likely a 4th dman on your roster is more than fair.... He will cause a bidding war if it isnt minnesota another team is giving up the same price

Again this is why Tampa Bay are back2back champions "only team that does rentals"

Huh? Your first in the central and ur current 1st line centre is Ryan Hartman, It's a fair deal for Hertl who would be your number 1 centre and the have JEK at number 2. Who say's he would be a rental as you have 14 million in cap next year and only really need to re-sign Kevin Fiala

You'd be superised, well they want Del Zotto gone since hes buried in the AHL they also need a lot of defensive depth as they are quite shallow there currently they also need to stay over the cap floor next year as they have some random contracts they wont re-sign. Ottawa would love simek as hes scrappy and physical and thats what they want. hey it probaly might not happen but its realistic off that basis
