San Jose Sharks 2023-24 The Youth Movement

Créé par: Phippsy87

Description
This is the team of youth movement in my opinion more of a younger look.

1st Line: I have Eklund who of course is a great playmaker and then centred by either Jonathan Lekkermaki a great freind of Eklund and a pure sniper I predict to select him with the Sharks 2022 1st round pick or as of right now a very excellent russian talent with elite potential that I had us acquire in the Tomas Herl trade and on the right we have Timo who can do every thing as well and puts it in the back of the net

2nd Line: I have pure goal scorer Jonathan Dahlén centred by playmaker and defensive forward Bordeleau and on the right you have the much needed size and strenght of Brandon Coe

3rd Line: On one of the wings I have Daniil Guschin who will be perfect there as a sniper, centred by Logan Couture who I think would have declined a decent amount up till 2023 and on the other wing I have young ozzy or Tristen who has the motor and scrappiness to add some much needed physical abillity

4th Line: I have 5 lines here as there is plenty of Depth options there but Right Now I have Tristen Robins on one of the 3 spots on this line or the scrappy and iritating Adam Raska on the LW centred by the current hometown Jasper Weatherby and on the right I have Scott Reedy in the mix there is also Alex Barabanov, Noah Gregor and Linus Oberg who seems to be a good NHL depth forward, it just depends in what way the sharks go.

Defense 1: Defensive pairings are hard to project as its based of chemistery and play but I have Knyzhov still paired with EK on pairing 1

Defense 2: I have Mario as a defensive anchor to all offense Ryan Merkley this pair could be a future based pairing

Defense 3: I predict Burns to continue his decline but still be some what servicable but i paired him with another defensive rock in Santeri Hatakka or a guy like Jacob Middleton if he continues his excellent form as well as Artemi will be ready to break through. As for Vlasic I see him retired or brought out

Goalies: I think Hill will still be there and potentially Reimer or another vet backup/1A to hold down until Gaudreau rises to the NHL

*With Minnesota's 2022 1st I have us selecting 6'5 LD, Lian Bichsel

Sharks have a abundance of prospect depth this is showed as Robins is even on the 4th line it just depends on how well and how every develops but this is what I have for now

Good trade for hertl. Not for Kane, and honestly I’m not sure anyone’s taking on labanc either.

Minnesota says no! No team is ever getting this for a rental! No team is overpaying especially wild for a rental. Wild aren't likely to be buyers anyway with spurgeon, and Joel Eriksson ek out long term

Isn’t that a reason to be a buyer? Wild are top of their division, are they not going to try and stay there?

Huh? Your first in the central and ur current 1st line centre is Ryan Hartman, It's a fair deal for Hertl who would be your number 1 centre and the have JEK at number 2. Who say's he would be a rental as you have 14 million in cap next year and only really need to re-sign Kevin Fiala

Ek is out long term. Spurgeon is out long term. If you want that for a rental look towards another team because MIN will not pay that. Teams like Tampa are only one who overpay @ deadline and our gm has made it clear his hesitancy about trading 1st round pick and top prospects. Minnesota next year needs to resign fiala, Alex g is coming back, so his cap exists, Greenway needs to be resign, nico sturm needs to be resign, Kaapo kahkonen needs to be resign. Minnesota has like 15 mil to resign 6 players at least and still be able to field a team.

Again this is why Tampa Bay are back2back champions "only team that does rentals"

Minnesota just lost 4 straight with major injuries suffered to Joel Eriksson ek and spurgeon. Minnesota isn't a championship contender just because they are currently in 1st. Wild are bound to lose more games, it's inevitable. Especially with bad Talbot returning , and Wild lost past 4 games due to the team playing like crap.

That’s a terrible deal for the wild. A blue chip prospect, a 1st and a b grade defensive prospect for a rents. Drop the 1st and marat then add a 2nd. - hunt and a 2nd is more than I’d want to go. As great as hertl is, rentals with little chance of being signed are a terrible investment.

a 2nd and Hunt is laughable, this is the price for the most important positon in the game u cant be to conservative or your going to be mediocre for ever just like the wild have been. Hertl will be the biggest fish out there look at what the Bruins gave up for Foligno and Nash a 1st lmaoo and they left after that. Giving up a 1st, a Top 6 potential forward and most likely a 4th dman on your roster is more than fair.... He will cause a bidding war if it isnt minnesota another team is giving up the same price

Nah most likely wont be that big of a contract it could be though, most likely maybe like a richard panik or a tom hickey to make cap work or a random AHL bum

That is your opinion! Just because teams like Tampa overpay for Rental, or because leafs gm was dumb enough to trade that much for nick foligno doesn't mean you can expect teams to overpay for a rental! That isn't how it works! Tomas is a free agent, and he will want to get to free agency. You aren't certainly getting that from Minnesota. Minnesota has won more, and rebuilt faster than sharks who are still bad , with bad contract. You shouldn't be calling Minnesota mediocre. Show the most recent times any team besides Tampa and leafs overpay for a rental. Hell, Taylor hall got a 2nd round pick. Jason Zucker, not a rental got a 1st , and b prospect @ that time

Yes but again Tampa are back 2 back champions, and the leafs GM is pretty good and im not comparing Foligno to Hertl lmaoo, And yes if Hertl wants to leave we will trade him. Bro u have to be cleary 12 minnesota like san jose are poverty franchises and Minnesota has been medicore for a long long time. San Jose has the 3rd most playoff wins in the 2000's they have a MUCH better franchise than Minneosta but you cleary must be young the Hall deal for a second was A. He had like 2 points that year and B. he had the leverage and said he would only go to boston unlike Hertl who would want to go any where. But thats fine ur not a GM but if u dont pay for rentals u can remain poverty and mediocre like Minny has always been with 0 deep playoff runs. simple as that

Your response which Is to demean wild franchise,
team is childish. past doesn't matter. Since you can't accept a no, you have to start being disrespectful, and name calling, disrespecting wild. What have sharks done lately? Last 5, 10 years, or yeah nothing. 0 deep playoff run? This is how you show you are a troll , and have zero based argument. You might want to do your argument on Tomas h , and his no trade since you are trolling, being disrespectful . You aren't a gm either, so you can't sit here, and get mad when wild fans say no because you view a certain player abd their worth in an unrealistic view. Ps: the leafs gm wS laughed at by everyone

The Sharks have made the stanley cup in that time span and 3 confrence finals and have made the playoffs 7 out of those 10 years and have only missed the playoffs 9/31 years the wild have already missed the playofffs 10 times and we have been in the league longer and you have only been in 1 confrence final not any single stanley cup it's cleary a poverty racnhise lmaoo. And the player isnt a unrealistic view hes better than any of your centres right now lmaoo bro. I'm being realistic if it aint the wild its another cup team bro get that through your head.

Nah, you aren't being realistic! Difference between hoping, opinion and not willing to accept facts. You being disrespectful, baiting wild fans show you really can't be reason with. No team is paying that, which nhl deadline have shown rentals won't get that

While i agree that contending teams should be going for it, the lightning are back to back champs because:
They snagged kucherov late in the second
Point in the third
Palat in the seventh
Gourde underrated
Killorn in the third
Robbed montreal for sergachev
Cirelli in the third
Johnson undrafted
The best goalie on the planet late in the first.

They’ve hit on everything, snagging third line depth isn’t why they’re back to back champs.

I agree except the part where you call Hunt a b grade d prospect. His development has gone well and he is pretty much even with O'rourke though my preference is still O'rourke.
This package is too much though for sure. If Wild had the cap space to resign Hertl then I'd be more receptive but this doesn't make sense.

Correct but we can re-sign but thats if he hits RFA, we can re-sign him to anything we like before like a long term deal

I don’t see Meier making that much unless he is a ppg player this year and next. Sharks even still I see him maxing out at $8 mil

Fair, But keep in mind a PPG pace for him is capable and as well of the salary rising so he could demand through that

Just because he asks for that doesn’t mean he gets it, not sure other teams would want to qualify him at that much when the compensation coming back to San Jose would be pretty significant.
