Need one more move and I cant figure it out
To help ease your mind with waivers, this is from a local journalist in regards to waivers once training camp comes around and they have to set the final roster:
"Every other team is also putting borderline players on waivers because they don't have roster space. A team claiming someone would need to have room and the intent to keep him on the roster all year, they couldn't send him down to their AHL affiliate. There are a hundred players all like that getting sent down at the same time. The Penguins' borderline guys aren't any more special than the ones the other teams are sending down for the same reasons."
I believe guys like Nylander, Archibald, Caggiula, etc. can easily make it down to WBS without getting claimed.

would be shocked if theres a move outside of shedding a dman
Keep Ruhwedel and waive Friedman instead if that’s all the return will be. Ruhwedel is a legit top 6 d-man making pennies. That’s too valuable to throw away imo

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SK101</b></div><div>Zucker will cost more to move. Gonna need to include at least a first. Pens are better off buying him out or trading him at the deadline to see if he can improve his value</div></div>
thats False he has a year left and is still useful

Pittsburgh Penguins
With Matheson gone and Dumo a UFA after this season I'd say Pettersson is officially a Penguins for life.

I was unaware - that's good news. Let's hope Malkin signs for 6 and that can give them enough money to go after Copp

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JSEB93</b></div><div>Fair point about the trade - Copp is the obvious questions mark. I would still consider it realistic though. Rangers only have 10mil in cap space with 16 people signed. Kakko, Strome, Copp, Motte, Rooney, Vatrano, Braun and a backup goalie all need to be signed or replacements found. Not to mention next year Chytil, Lafreniere and Miller need to get paid - and they have no big money coming off the books. So it's not that easy for them to keep Copp and they can't exactly get into any bidding wars. Maybe unlikely for Copp to come to Pittsburgh, but I still think it's a realistc option</div></div>

Copp was one of their best players against us in the playoffs I would love to bring him over to the good team

Still probably will get less, his QO is only 800k.
Also why trade Marino just to sign Manson. Just keep Marino

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hullsy09</b></div><div>I could see a world where we keep him and pay Vancouver extra to retain on Miller. If everything goes well zucker could be a beast on the 3rd line</div></div>
A healthy Zucker on the 3rd line would be great I agree. He plays hard, he plays fast, and still has skill. It's not that he's a bad player, just overpaid - especially given the injuries.

Miller Trade help me fill in the blanks
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JSEB93</b></div><div>Really would love this top 6.
Couple points: Zucker has a NTC that would no doubt include Anaheim and Arizona. McGinn should try to be moved at all costs. He was not good at any point during the season. And putting DOC/Zohorna in his place saves $2mil. Trade him for a washing machine lol.
To fill in the unknown's; maybe Manson, DOC, and Heinen?</div></div>
He has a 10 team NTC, so that probably covers the 7 Canadian teams, then likely a bit of a crapshoot from there. Could include Philly, NJ, Detroit, Anaheim or Arizona. So it's not completely far fetched to think he could be moved to Anaheim.
