That’s a cute line name but let’s get real, Florida isn’t trading their best player.

No I don't think that make the Devils bite as they don't have a need for picks.
Mercer is pretty much untouchable at this point in time.
There might be a chance the Leafs could pry Marino out of New Jersey though.

I actually really like Liljegren, Samsonov and Robertson but I wouldn't want the Devils to consider for a second trading Mercer alone for those three, let alone adding Marino on top of that.

This…is actually perfect for CBJ.
A great return on Gus and Korpi, and Woll could fill in for Korpi in net to help keep Tarry in Cleveland to get starts.
And nothing wrong with some AHL G depth after that.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MacanBayangan</b></div><div>Not 100% against this but would be nice to preserve the 1st if at all possible and if the above trade suggestion of Jensen for Sandin straight up happened then Gavrikov wouldnt be necessary.
Anyway, think we can all agree a nice top4 D, a back-up goalie and potentially another gritty forward would be ideal for the leafs before the trade deadline.</div></div>
Sandin is definitely more important than the first, and if they remove anyone from their D-core they should still be adding another guy. I think Dubas would go for someone with term if he is giving up the 1st for a Dman rental but who knows.
Definitely agree with those points, although I think it goes top 4 D, gritty forward (if they remove someone from current group), then 3rd string goalie. Murray is expected to come back before the end of the season if I'm not mistaken.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>squashmaple</b></div><div>Has the shine come off Robertson this much? I feel like he was so recently an untouchable and now he’s being bandied about for a backup backup goaltender. I get that he can’t stay healthy, but wow.</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MacanBayangan</b></div><div>At this point I feel he's more likely to not succeed than succeed (hope I'm wrong), therefore in this scenario we get something we need for him and can focus on developing Knies in the slot he would have taken for the future. Sure we might regret this trade but got to look at the here and now.</div></div>
Neither Woll or Robertson should be in a trade for Korpisalo. The Leafs might need a 3rd string guy just in case but they should be going for someone that costs like a 4th to get. Korpisalo probably gets like a 3rd so he'll be out of range probably. Maybe they do trade Kallgren + a pick for Korpisalo but doubt it. Definitely won't be Robertson as a sweetener and if it's Woll it would be in a larger trade perhaps.
Leafs will need Robertson's ELC along with Knies' next year. Perhaps Robertson gets dealt next year for something if he doesn't become a permanent fixture.
Maybe if the Leafs wants both Gavrikov+Korpisalo they pay a 2024 1st + Robertson + Woll

Chychrun would be a perfect fit capwise and for the PP lateral movement, creativity, fresh breath and missing bomb shot. But doesn't look like, Toronto ist gonna get him. Maybe Boston. That would be fun. Not.

I like Gavrikov - but not at 6M for this future team. Dubas has to find a cheaper Muzzin substitute. And please not Myers at 50% retention. 😱
Signing Timmins was a W at 1.1M AAV, no risk.
I miss Bogosian. Even Lyubushkin. That type of a low cost bottom pair D men plus a gamechanging D for the 1st D-pair and as PP QB. Hard to get. Hard to fit in. But Rielly is far away from an Atlantic Division rival Hedman, Lindholm caliber.
Will Muzzin retire in your proposal?

If Nyquist is involved he's on LTIR until playoffs, which gives the leafs cap room to actually just keep Holl and Engvall, then they get Nyquist for the playoffs too when he will be back.
Also the trade here could be much simpler and would actually get accepted.
Toronto' 1st + the two 3rds for Gavrikov+ Nyquist

More like 2 B prospects + first second and third, however that is the reported asking price so this is not unreasonable at all

one trade TDL
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MacanBayangan</b></div><div>Thinking was:
1st, 3rd, Hirvonen > Konecky
SDA, Robertson, 3rd > Frost
4th, Simmonds (as a stop gap) > MacEwen
Engvall > cap room/can fill Frost's slot for Philly until year end.</div></div>
I think that light for Koneckny, especially following more expensive UFA Horvat's deal
SDA has really minimal value, Robertson after a second season of poor production, healthy scratches, and ANOTHER injury has low value, and a late round 3rd probably just a tad light for Frost
Simmonds has zero value, and MacEwen is probably worth a 4th/5th to a number of contending teams looking for physicality.
Engvall is a cap dump and theres no compansation.
Ultimately most of the offer is not anything PHI wants/needs, and they are giving up something they dont need to. For them to move Koneckny they'd have to be overpaid/Wow'ed, not underpaid.
The offer doesn;t evaluate what PHI wants/needs. They are playing a ton of young guys now, missing 2 of their top 6 forwards all year and still around .500. The prospects you offer are either damaged or have little value or in the PHI system, SDA doesn;t make top 20 prospects, and Robertson barely in the top 10 forward prospects. Hirvonen is probably behind some of whats already arrived (Cates, Frost, Alison, Tippett) and then Gautheir, Brink, and Forester at forward alone.
Why would PHI want to take an expiring UFA they dont need in Engvall just to make it work for TOR and still accept underpayment for 2 forwards 25 yrs old or less. Koneckny is a perfect, underpaid, young player that PHI doesn't have to move, and key for the rebuild/retool, so they'd have to be overpaid/wow'ed. TK is signed long term at under market value, and to accept what higher priced UFA Horvat (also a 50-60pt guy through his career) just got last week is crazy.
If you want Koneckny, and this is your second TK proposal in 2 days, offer what it will take, not what you're willing to toss out.
TK to TOR probably starts with Niemala (PHI lacks RD prospects), your 2023 1st and your 2023 3rd and probably something more, (maybe the OTT 2023 3rd) and thats without Frost, MacEwen.

TML TDL
The first two offers are pretty bad:
Joey Anderson and SDA have ZERO value, so its a 2nd TWO drafts away. STL will get better offers and not take on TOR junk.
Jeannot even struggling is a cheap and easy RFA re-sign, Engvall is more than twice as expensive and NASH sees him as a cap dump compared to Jeannot, Robertson had another disappointing year (non-production, healthy scratch and another injury year, so not sure he has good value (maybe a 3rd), so its two 3rds for someone NASH doesn;t want to give up?
So its Sandin, (still just 16 mins a night in his 4th pro season, even with leaf injuries, but may still be a top 4 dman, AND one your top four prospects, AND a late round 3rd....its possible. But CHI just signed McCabe and gave him NTC, so agents/players wont like that move by CHI, and its not a move CHI has to make. Its not an underpayment, IMO, and probably about right, but not sure CHI does it.

The Jackets would be intrigued, but would probably say no to this. They want Gavrikov long term and selling off their captain this early in the season is not a good look. The biggest issue is they need a top Centers and Defense coming back and all you have coming back plays winger. I like the players, but the Jackets don't want any more wingers. Especially two bottom six guys.
If Jarmo decides to sell, I think this trade happens in the offseason (Gavrikov agreeing to a sign and trade beforehand) to pull in that 1st round pick and Robertson. But only if he can sell off a third of the wingers and d-men on the roster between now and the TDL. I seriously doubt Boone leaves, however. I think he will try to send Voracek, Nyquist, Foudy, Bean, and Boqvist out for a #1 center and a number 2/3 RHD. Only after those trades are done would he play with the idea to sell off the Captain and only defenseman worth his contract on this team.

I think the gap from Nylander to Konecny is too big for those values to offset. Unless there were another move to utilize the cap savings to provide full value.

-I'd think Nashville actually declines this - I'd rather have Johansen & Jeannot (plus the picks) over Marner & Tomasino(who I'd assume would get the callup). Plus, they don't have the cap space to absorb the extra $2.1M you have them taking on here.
-Bad deal for the Devils, this is pure quantity over quality. Engvall, Voit, & Malgin have marginal value at best for the Devils - you could maybe make the case that Sandin/2nd would get you Marino, but there's not enough here for the Devils to think about trading Holtz.
-I don't really see the Sharks biting on this one, although it's pretty close. I could see the Sharks being on Kerfoot's 10 team NTC though, so not sure if that would hold it up.
