1st or no Gavrikov. Engvall and Abruzzese make that package less valuable to the Jackets rather than more, and Sandin isn't the sort of guy we're after (we'd be looking for an experienced shutdown mentor, not another young two-way guy; we have a ton of the latter already).

Only canon fodder is Nylanders slap shot off the rush. Plus his attempted hit on blanks. Pure dirt bag Bush league ****. Lucky he isn’t experienced and didn’t make contact with his stick and only his one elbow.

Showed his colors tonight. Let’s see if he grows up and can handle alittle adversity

Edit sorry. The trade sucks too

If Nyquist is involved he's on LTIR until playoffs, which gives the leafs cap room to actually just keep Holl and Engvall, then they get Nyquist for the playoffs too when he will be back.

Also the trade here could be much simpler and would actually get accepted.

Toronto' 1st + the two 3rds for Gavrikov+ Nyquist

He scored after that the next shift lul

One game where they were down 5 in the second doesn't say much. Game 7 Wes decides to call a play that nobody has called this season on Holl to take a goal away that was really it lul

And if u don't believe there are clips of players doing it the same playoffs lul

That is sooo obsolete. 🤣 Did you wach any Leafs Game this season? Willy is by far the most improved player on the team. Playoffs are another beast but I am more concerned about 90 percent of the rest of the team concerning toughness, show up and balls. He had to endure the most critic by fans and coaching stuff in the past - often rightly so. But in the same breath he could handle it best.

I like Gavrikov - but not at 6M for this future team. Dubas has to find a cheaper Muzzin substitute. And please not Myers at 50% retention. 😱
Signing Timmins was a W at 1.1M AAV, no risk.
I miss Bogosian. Even Lyubushkin. That type of a low cost bottom pair D men plus a gamechanging D for the 1st D-pair and as PP QB. Hard to get. Hard to fit in. But Rielly is far away from an Atlantic Division rival Hedman, Lindholm caliber.

Will Muzzin retire in your proposal?

This guy is just a troll that loves piling on the Leafs; often from left field so he must monitor every Leaf post waiting to drop his ‘how to win’ wisdom - really weird. Every GM, coach, player in the league would love to have game breaker like Willy on their team.
Having just watched 2 back to back games, Gavrikov is over rated - definitely not worth a 1st + imo.

Yeah muzzin to retire was the thinking and agree with all, unfortunately I think it'll be hard to sign a top 4 dman under 5mil unless we just stick with a young gun in Sandin.

Agree i wouldnt want to give up the first but think a 2nd + Sandin coming in with a reasonable extension could be worth it.

Chychrun would be a perfect fit capwise and for the PP lateral movement, creativity, fresh breath and missing bomb shot. But doesn't look like, Toronto ist gonna get him. Maybe Boston. That would be fun. Not.

The 2 games are a small samplesize. First game was underwhelming. From all of the Blue Jackets. That's why I don't wach them this season and I do not have enough impressions of him. Last night he was notable and showed a few things at D and upfront, that could be useful for the Leafs. Not sure, what the D price is this TDL. I mean...look at the Ben Chiarot Trade in the past...

Check out his year long numbers, they are abysmal - he’s not even the best dman on a terrible team. The quandary is this - I might take him for playoffs (b/c he does fit the profile we need and maybe over short term he would not be too much of an anchor) but then asking price is prohibitive. But if we trade and extend him we have Chiarot 2.0 on our team for next 4-5 years - there are lots of better dmen we could sign as FAs next year (Jensen, Mayfield, etc) - if it were up to me, I’d pass on Gavrikov

I'm still wondering about that. 🤔 Why did Columbus draft Zherdev? I can play too. Are the Red Wings living rent Free in your head like Little Mitchy?
